Overview & Reviews
The Acura MDX is a midsize luxury SUV with a carlike unibody platform and three rows of seats. The original MDX bowed in 2001, at a time when most competitors still featured body-on-frame construction and the term "crossover" was but a glimmer in some marketer's eye. Since then, Acura has maintained the MDX's family-friendly packaging, including standard seven-passenger seating, while spicing up the recipe with various styling, performance and handling enhancements. In typical Acura fashion, every MDX comes well equipped, with options generally limited to a few choice features bundled into packages.
New or used, the Acura MDX stands out for its comfort, versatility and refinement. It's one of our top recommendations for a family-oriented luxury crossover SUV. In reviews, we've found the MDX to be a polished performer, as it remains one of the more engaging luxury crossovers to drive and also provides a commendably supple ride. Weak points include cramped third-row accommodations for adults and less sumptuous interior appointments than in some rivals, though the MDX's strong resale value offers ample compensation.

Excellence - 2002 Acura MDX
By BoosHound - March 31 - 10:00 amAcura has outdone themselves! The recent (and moderate) design changes clearly state that Acura has made a superior SUV with little room for improvement!

Couldnt of Asked for Anything More - 2002 Acura MDX
By MDX Owner - March 25 - 10:00 amGreat SUV! Acura hit a home run with the MDX. It has all the ammenities that you would want (less a DVD entertainment center). Rides and handles like a sports sedan, quick acceleration, NAVI System is the best avail, and passenger/cargo area beats others hands down. I considered BMW X5 (3.0) but when you add up all the ammenities that are found in MDX youre talking $50+K...with less room. A trade off you will have to make! Ask your dealer to chrome your wheels....it will make people snap thier heads.

This is the best car Ive ever owned - 2007 Acura MDX
By JWEISS - March 20 - 10:03 pmThis is a full sport utility vehicle and a luxury car combined!! It rides like (even better than) my Lexus ES 330 and it still does the job for skiing, surfing, and road trips!! This car fits 6 adults in real comfort. You could easily do 4 adults, 2 kids and a dog on a long road trip and nobody feels cramped. This vehicle is awesome. Took a 600 mile road trip and several coastal drives so far. Do get the cooler to keep your beverages and food cold so you dont have to stop and buy food (helps offset the cost of the gasoline) . I know its not eco-conscious, but it is the most fun you can have for the money and still feel like a star pulling up to Spago.

I FEEL LIKE IM DRIVING A BUS - 2004 Acura MDX
By GOLEXUS - March 20 - 12:01 pmI should have done more homework before buying this vehicle. It is very reliable, because it is built by Honda, otherwise it is horrible. The seats are hard and get VERY uncomfortable on trips. It is very big, not smooth, and needs a better turing radius. It also gets horrible gas mileage, about 16 mpg. I have driven my sisters RX330 and found it is very comforatable and feels like you are driving on a cloud.Plus it has a great turning radius, and the service is great! It also gets 25mpg. Dont buy the MDX, it you want performance and dependable luxury, go to Lexus. I cant wait for my lease to end, to purchase the RX330

excellent SUV from Acura! - 2003 Acura MDX
By frankyy - March 13 - 2:00 amI have driven my MDX (03) for 10 days. Its good timing as we have had lots of snow and rain in past 2 weeks. MDX handles the snow and rain very well. Good performance and smooth handling. You dony have to take my words here. But just test drive all suvs in the MDX class (X5/ML320/RX300 etc). You would like the MDX!

MDX=fun, reliable, practical - 2004 Acura MDX
By MDX Lover - March 12 - 11:53 amI researched for two years before purchasing this vehicle. I have an ACURA Legend that has remained reliable with over 180k on it. That helped convince me to stick with ACURA in the SUV department. The MDX feels sturdy, and drive very nicely. You have a commanding feel behind the wheel, and good visibility. The navigation system is awesome. It is more than just an expensive toy. It will give you the confidence to venture into unknown territory without trepidation. I once drove an hour down back roads that didnt show on most maps, and I didnt have a clue as to where I was, or how to get out. Then I used the nav, and it guided me precisely and ACURA-tely back to main roads, and home.

A sensible choice for a luxury crossover - 2016 Acura MDX
By bonofca - March 3 - 7:09 amPurchased my MDX16 (SH-AWD Adv/ Ent.) 3 months ago. So far so good. Great handling, smooth riding SUV. Quiet and comfortable on the road. Very responsive in sports mode. The infotainment system was not simple to use at first, but when I learned how to use it, I really like it because of its cool advance tech. features. Great sound system. Excellent Rear entertainment system with wide screen that produces a surround sound quality similar to a high end home theater system. Safety features are probably one of the best in its class. The adaptive cruise control/ lane keep assist are great feature on long drives.

I Love My MDX - 2005 Acura MDX
By Shelley N - March 2 - 12:53 pmI have been driving an SUV for 16 years and this is by far my favorite of the lot! I bought my 1st MDX 4 years ago when they first hit the market and I now have my 2nd. I love the look and the ride is comfortable and car like. It is totally reliable and the size is perfect for a sports Mom with 3 growing boys. I cant imagine a better SUV available in this price range! Drive one and you will be hooked
