  • Excellent car! Excellent deal! Best $1000 I ever spent! - 1991 Acura Integra
    By -

Bought this car for $1000 off of a girl who lived down the road from me. Had 126K when I bought it, has 145K now and has been ultra reliable! Outside of normal maintenance like brakes, rotors, calipers, tires, exhaust, hatch supports, and oil changes. This thing has been fantastic! Only let me down once when the alternator went and I was stuck on the side of the highway. I had to get that replaced. But since then, has not left me stranded and it takes me everywhere so thats why I gave it a 5 for reliability. Very awesome car. Doesnt burn any oil, runs great, and hardly any rust on it! Will drive this car until the doors fall off!!

If all cars could have Acura quality - then it would be a perfect world. I drove this car new - 120K miles. Never any major issues. Great gas mileage, perfomance, handling, utility with the hatchback. AC might stink with mold issues - so you need to keep it on all the time. Added a Dinan chip for more power and installed a Sony Headunit with CD changer. Timing belt needs to be changed at 60K miles to ensure nothing breaksdown. Great manual transmission - great car.

  • Still my favorite car! - 1991 Acura Integra

My wife bought this car new, and after 180k, still going strong. Finally replaced clutch @ 160k. I love to drive this car around town, freeway, anywhere really. It has been ultra- reliable, just regular maintenance.

  • Still Love it after 20 years - 1991 Acura Integra

After owning my car for 20 years and 141,000 miles its still going strong and Im still in love with it. Im short (51") and this car fits me well - able to reach the clutch without chewing on the stearing wheel. Forsome reason Ive replaced way too many muflers and brakes but maybe thats because I had the work done at Midas. Other than those expenses Ive barely spent a dime on repairs except for starting this year. And it could be because it was involved in 2 accidents many years ago and the issues are just beginning to show over time. I still get great gas mileage and its still peppy. I may hold onto this for another 20 years!

  • Great Car - 1991 Acura Integra

I bought my GS used about 2 years ago, and it now has 219K miles on it. Its extremely fun to drive, has plenty of cargo space, and it is probably the best car Ive owned. I did have to replace the clutch last year, but the previous owner Autocrossed it, so that probably contributed to its demise. I also had to replace the harmonic balancer and will be replacing the idle air control valve, but otherwise theres nothing wrong with it. Over time, I plan on upgrading more parts on it, it already has upgraded springs, shocks, exhaust, wheels, and tires for racing.

  • Bought New - 1991 Acura Integra

We bought this car brand new and even though it is my main daily driver to work it still has just 70k miles. Its garage kept and still looks new. Only complaints is the rear brake occasionally sticks and I have to remove the wheel and pop it open again and the high engine noise at freeway speeds. Very comfortable for short trips (Im 6 3") but anything over an hour and I get sore on those hard seats.

  • Holding Up over 200k miles. - 1991 Acura Integra
    By -

Bought at 178k from a friend, now has 218k miles. Stick. Car is fun to drive, handles and runs well, better then my 92 accord (LX-auto). Clutch took some getting used to. Dont care a ton for the anti-lock brakes in snow. Fairly reliable, but several age related repairs are now showing up (thermostat, rear calipers, alternator main relay and fan control module starting to go small oil leak at valve cover gasket frameless windows seals starting to lose some elasticity). Typical 90s Honda rear wheel well rust. Trunk lid size and rear seats are small for this size of vehicle (my 84 escort was slightly better). Still, I would recommend and have enjoyed owning.

I love this car! I bought one when I was 16 and ended up trading it for a CRX, but couldnt stay away. Im 23 now and traded that same CRX for another Integra!

Got this car new when I turned 16. I still have it in 2006(My first and only car) Mostly a commuter car now with over 190K. No problems. Its overly reliable. Only problem is that teenage kids are attracted to trying to steal it, take emblems, or break in. It is the only car I owned and has been the most pleasant experience. Average 30mpg, accelerates wonderfully at all speeds, handles extremely well, and brakes phenomenally. Only took it in to replace rear struts and timing belt. Thats it. I replaced the front brakes pads twice and the rear once on my own. They last forever. Will retire it in 6 months as I am getting too old for it. It sits low and I need cushier seats. :)

  • The Trustigious Integra - 1991 Acura Integra

My overall experience with this vehicle is very pleasing. It was purchased for me as my first car on 10/2/04. The car has had an engine swap done, but thats expected after 250,000 miles. The one thing that impressed me the most was when I found the record of the cars maintenance in the glove box. It was one owner and he bought the car brand new in Des Moines, Iowa. There was at least 30 receipts from where he had the annual maintenance done. The exterior is in excellent shape. Maybe a rust spot here or there. The mechanical is good and the supension, brakes, wheels and exhaust is in very good condition considering the age.
