  • Great Midlife Crisis Car - 2001 Acura CL

I put lots of miles on my car every year. I have taken the 3.2 over all the major and most minor roads in CA. The 3.2 is a blast to drive. It is quick, fast, and handles well. For fun try Hwy 36 from Scotia to Redding and you will see for yourself.

  • This car is great! - 2001 Acura CL

This car is great, I have had for over two years and only had one small problem. The electric seat memory gave out and was replaced very quickly. This car is really fast and I love the speed that I am getting. The gas mileage is running around 29mpg on the highway. The only other small issue is the rims and how easily they get scratched. Would recommend this car to anyone and everyone!

  • Poor Build Quality - 2003 Acura CL
    By -

Having been a long time Toyota owner, I am really disappointed with the build quality of my Acura CL. So far, my fog lights have burned out twice, my sunroof still rattles, my rear quarter panel had to re-welded, interior trim panels were falling off and still the car rattles and squeaks... Ive told the Acura dealer that my 96 Corolla with 120,000 miles makes less noise than my 2002 acura.

  • Great car, great value! - 2003 Acura CL

After over six months of research before buying my first new car, there was no doubt of which car I had to buy. I considered the BMW 3 series (add up all the options & accessories to compare with the CL-S and it was too expensive-short and long term), the Lexus IS-300 (OMG the interiors are cardboard! FUGLY!), the Solara SLE V6 (I used to own a 92 Camry LE, they were basically the same car, also overpriced), and Audi A4 (too big). The CL-S has the best bang-for-the-buck. Built solid, looks good in and out, and lives up to its "Type S" name.

  • Power/Performance in Disguise - 2003 Acura CL

When I first showed my new 2003 CL Type S to my friend, he wasnt impressed. "Looks like an Accord" he said. Admittedly, this cars exterior styling and sightlines havent revolutionalized the industry. The true heart and soul of this car lied under the hood & in its wonderfully sporty suspension and chassis system. Once I took him on an edge-of-the-seat 70-80 mph joy ride, he no longer saw this car as an Accord. Ive also suprised many a city stoplight-racers in my area. After I blow them off the line with lurching tires and screaming acceleration from the VTEC 6 cylinder, I suspect they wont look at an "Accord" in the same light ever again.

  • Just a Great Car - 2003 Acura CL

This is by far the best car Ive ever driven. Its an uncompromising blend of luxary and performance. The 6M transmission makes this car just plain fun to drive. Roll down the windows, open the sunroof, and crank up the Bose sound system, what could be better? Although a little over my initlial price range I would not change my decision to buy it. If youre looking to spend 30k and love to drive this is the car for you.

  • Excellent Vehicle - 2003 Acura CL

Ive only had the car for a week but I love it already. Its fast, fun to drive, and loaded with features. Minor drawbacks: the car has to be on to close the sunroof and windows, and the auto-foldup on the seats to allow people into the back is slow, and also requires the car to be on. Excellent features: driving! the car handles great at fast speeds, which it has no problem accelerating to. The sport-shift feature on the automatic is great - it allows you to manually shift for extra power whenever you want to (i beat a BMW 325ci off the line using it).

  • Fun to drive - 2003 Acura CL

I traded my 97 SHO for this CL-S. I was pleasantly surprised by the acceleration and handling of the CL-S, but a bit disappointed with the minor 03 face lift. Where are the driving lights, and the new wheels are a bit boring. While I really enjoyed my SHO, Ive not really missed it. I do miss a few features that the SHO had over the CL-S, things like auto locking doors, auto on-off headlights, and the combination lock on the drivers door. But these are all just nit picks.

  • Love it! - 2001 Acura CL

Love this car. I did 6 mos of research and this is the best bang for the buck. Fun to drive, looks cool (black w/ aftermarket rims), and no mechanical problems at 15,000 miles.

  • 01 Acura at 15K - 2001 Acura CL
    By -

This is a fantastic, reliable auto. Ive only done normal maintenance in the 15K Ive owned it. Handles extremely well, does 0-60 in 6.5 secs., gets 27 - 30 mpg on the road and is a pleasure on long trips. Hold two sets of golf clubs plus some luggage in the trunk. It certainly holds the road in wet and dry weather.
