  • What a Fun Drive! - 2006 Toyota Camry Solara
    By -

Just bought my new 06 Solara a week ago. It is totally fun to drive! Took it up to Whistler, BC...great trip! Took about 4 hours and the Solara was comfortable the entire trip up and back. I have owned two Camrys, and a Celica and I love this new Solara.

  • My dream car - 2006 Toyota Camry Solara

After reseraching many convertibles, I decided on the Solara based on my satisfaction with my 2001 Camry which I intended to keep as my work vehicle, however Hurricane Katrina claimed that car. The Solara convertible was so comfortable on the test drive that I knew this is the car I want.

  • Beautiful Car - 2006 Toyota Camry Solara

I bought this car about a month ago I absolutely love it. It is so much fun to drive, and it looks great. So far I have not had any problems and everything has been easy to use. Im still getting used to the dual transmission, but I found that if I drive in manual I get slightly better gas mileage.

  • Great to drive in luxury - 2006 Toyota Camry Solara

Exremely quiet and it handles like a sports car. Gas mileage is superb for the size and power it exhibits. I hesitated about trading in my 2005 Prius but after the first day of driving this machine I forgot all about the Prius. (If I could afford it I would still own a Prius as well.) This vehicle is the best I have driven on long trips. The seats are like sitting in a recliner in my living room. The gas mileage difference is worth the extra cost (from my Prius) to drive my Solara.

  • Excellent - 2006 Toyota Camry Solara

I love my car excellent driving. Runs very smooth. excellent on turns. Very roomy. I havent seen the gas mileage yet. The longest distance drove was 300 miles one way. Which was ok the most I have gotten in was 24.9 on the highway, but in surface street 22.9 and 23.9 sometimes 24.0

  • Elegant - 2006 Toyota Camry Solara

Ive grown out of raucus rides, so this is a very quiet change. It might just be the perfect daily driver. Maybe not the fastest, but no other coupe in its range can match its overall elegance,. That goes double for the "base" SE. Nice surprise: the Four-cylinder with the 5-speed Automatic is not unlike a smooth, small 6 in the mid-range (once the Variable Timing gets going), and Im getting 32 MPG so far to boot (according to the well-placed mileage guage). The dedicated manual sequential shift mode (all 5 speeds) even makes you feel like Shumacher (Ralf, if not Michael), complete with the numerical display in the dash. Im older, but not TOO old, and this fits the bill almost exactly

  • 06 SLE Vert... - 2006 Toyota Camry Solara

I got mine just before the hurricane and have only 100+ mile on it. Everything works, its tight and fun to drive. The Arctic Pearl White paint with tan top is a nice combination, and people have stopped to admire the car. The only problem that I have experience is in rear visability with the top up... very bad do to the front slope of the car and the head rests which cannot be removed. One would hope that this could be resolved in some way in future models. Im coming out of a 2000 Avalon and the Solara has all the bells and whistles, and seem almost as large a car. A Lexus in Toyota badging. It was a toss up between this or a 350 Z. The Solara just makes more sence and I love it

  • Cool Tool - 2006 Toyota Camry Solara

Acceleration is a disappointment because of the delay between mash and go. At 57" it is a first time life experience that Im too tall with a hat. Cruise control manipulation is not intuitive. Im really nervous about visibility...I hope I dont crunch someone/something before I learn my clearance limitations.

I love the cars performance. It rides easy and can stop quickly. The style is very sporty without being too small. It also has to the back of the Lexis
