This Year's Model Updates:

For 2005, the Armada receives active head restraints and seatbelt pre-tensioners for the first row, a unique wheel finish for SE models and metallic interior accent trim for all models. A power liftgate has been added to the SE Sunroof Package while a new RearView Monitor is now included in the Technology Package.

Pros:
  • Spacious interior, monster motor, lots of storage areas up front, fold-flat third-row seat, comfortable ride quality around town, solid tow rating.
Cons:
  • Leather seats not as comfortable as their cloth counterparts, dismal fuel mileage, cumbersome to park.

  • Almost Got it Right - 2005 Nissan Armada

The 2005 Nissan Armada has tons of power and is fun to drive. The interior is very flexible. Every seat folds down. I have 21,000 miles on my Off Road 4x4 and have worked through a few issues. The brakes were fixed on the 3rd try after a service bulletin came out. The Bose stereo system does not sound like a $750 system. I still have rattle sounds in my dash and doors. Overall, I still like the truck and would recommend it though.

I just got my Nissan Armada. It is fun to drive. The V8 engine helps pull the armada 0 - 60 in less then 7.0 sec. It has so much power that your head jukes back everytime you give it gas. The motor has an amazing roar too it. It takes the snow like nothing. It is flawless.

My family and I are so glad we switch from our Suburban and Blazer to the Armada. We love it.

  • Flagship of the fleet - 2005 Nissan Armada

Full size, luxury SUV with all the trimmings. Towing is a breeze with the 5.6 L powerhouse. Interior amenities cradle the passengers in traveling bliss. The Bose sound system is remarkable and the integration of electronics components is well thought out and leaves you saying,"Cool, Now why didnt someone think of that sooner?" Versatility of the interior space is excellent, storage pockets and cup holders for all occupants. Overall an outstanding vehicle, superb quality and craftsmanship. High marks for the design team. Makes driving a big, chunky vehicle fun, not too long to park and excellent turning radius. Looking forward to many happy years of driving this vehicle.

  • Great Truck but - Beware of Brakes - 2005 Nissan Armada

We bought this SUV the day before Houston was in full evac for Hurricane Rita. It got us out of town and all the way to Dallas without a fuel stop, which was good since there was no fuel! We love the truck and have since moved to Denver. Wish we had 4WD now, but will have to make the best of it. Beware, as many other posts have noted, the rotors will warp at 5K miles. Nissan will fix it, but it is a problem. If youre buying a new 05, make them fix it before delivery. Other than that, it is a fine truck.

Its a very cool truck. It handles well and has some real get up and go. The only downfall I can think of is the gas this thing takes. I suppose overall though, theres not another large SUV I would want or trust.

  • Much Better Now!! - 2005 Nissan Armada

I just traded in my 2004 Nissan Armada for the 2005 Model. Its like night and day.The 2005 has a considerable improvement with the interior build quality. The ride is cushier, softer than the brash and hash 2004 model. Interior cabin is a whole lot quieter, the engine roar has been deadened. Better overall interior materials and lay out. Love the rear camera view when backing up or out. This Vehicle is the best full size SUV in its class. Nissan has listened and have delivered.

  • Excellent vehicle! - 2005 Nissan Armada

This is my first SUV and I now have 3265 miles on it. Its fun to drive and handles quite well for a vehicle of this size. Gas mileage is 13.7 city and 17.9 hwy. Im using 87 octane fuel and have no problems with this grade. The pick-up is great and it seems connected to the pavement when taking turns at speed. Handled very well in snow and automatic 4x4 drive. I use automatic 4x4 on wet roads and it tracks well. Im a big person (360 lbs) and fit well in the drivers seat. The leather seat is quite comfortable but a tight fit with the arm rest down. The headlight and wiper controls are too close to the steering wheel and should be relocated. I constantly hit them when I do not want.

  • The Big Boy - 2005 Nissan Armada

This SUV is fun to drive and has so much space in it your legs dont hit the seat in front of you. Take this from a guy 62". The boys went out the other night and five of us sat in the first two rows with no problems.
