This Year's Model Updates:

The CLK coupe is revamped this year and its sleeker body sports a grille that echoes the bigger (and much more expensive) CL coupe's. Other news include the CLK430 becoming the CLK500 via a larger, more powerful V8 engine. The convertible ("Cabriolet") models are unchanged.

Pros:
  • Sleek styling, solid chassis, composed ride, comfortable front seats.
Cons:
  • Some subpar plastic trim, convertibles have small backseat and big blind spots.

I love my 430 convertible. When I got the car, it was 4 years old but I still love it. The look, handling, convertible, heated seats, comfortable leather seats, and AC are my favorite features. I live in Calgary, AB where we have wicked winters at -35 degrees celcius (-31 F) and hot summer days at +35 degrees celcius (95 F) and this car handles the different seasons perfectly. I do suggest throwing some chrome rims on the car, which makes it look like a million dollars.

For the first time I have found a convertible that has no wind noise and plenty of leg room.a man 6 foot plus can drive this car in comfort. This car is responsive and fun to drive and I recommend this vehicle to anyone.

this car is fun to drive if you dont have to be in it longer than 30 minutes. the seats are like sitting in concrete and i actually borrow friends vehicles for a longer trip. after they drive it, it is no longer easy to frind friends that want to drive a mercedes for a day. please... mercedes please find better quality seats. a big dissappointment and will probably make me trade it in sooner than expected. in what models, do the seats become comfortable?

This is a Superior vehicle. It has the acceleration of a Porsche or Corvette, while still meeting the luxurious comfort that has long been associated with Mercedes Benz.

  • A Whole Lotta Fun - 2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class

This car is really FUN to drive. The performance is excellent (slight Mercedes oversteer), ride and handling are exceptional.

I received my new CLK320 two weeks ago after long waiting - it has been an excellent car to drive. This car replaced my 2000 3.5RL which was also a great car, never had any trouble. I like the combined sporty and comfort offered by new CLK – it is fun to drive, quite powerful yet it is very comfortable, apart from two doors, I can’t tell much different from my 3.5RL in term of comfort.

CAR IS FUN TO DRIVE, BUT YOU BETTER NOT DRIVE IT OUT OF TOWN. IT WILL SHUT OFF WHEN ITS READY. THE DEALER DOESNT WORK TO FIND THE PROBLEM, THEY JUST SAY WE ARE SORRY WE CAN NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH YOUR CAR. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME, THE C240 IS WORSE. THE SUNSHADES BREAK, THE WINDOW STOPS WORKING, THE KEYS ARE RECALLED AND THE DEALER NEVER LETS YOU KNOW. ALL IN ALL THE MB C240 AND CLK 320 ARE DEFINITELY A WORK OF CHRYSLER.

  • More than expected - 2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class

We fully expected a good car. We got a great one. Its fun to drive, has a lot of "curb appeal" and, as an unexpected plus-gas milage is great. And we dont know how the top could be easier to operate. Overall it makes driving an adventure.

  • Sheer Delight - 2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class

I traded a beloved BMW-540i for this car and have not had a moments regret. I love the handling, tight chassis, ergomonics in the cabin, but most of all the smooth power the V-8 pours out on command. Everything is refined about this car, even in the way it delivers almost unlimited power.

an absolute disaster...Ive driven lexus for the past 10 years and decided to try the CLK. It was in the shop constantly, the door fell off, catalytic converter, gas tank problems, you name it. I traded it in for a lexus.......good riddance!
