This Year's Model Updates:

Coming off a complete redesign just last year, the 2010 Mazda 6 sees little in the way of change. A new optional audio and Bluetooth display debuts, as does a new Touring Plus trim level. Features have also been shuffled among trim levels to lower the vehicle's base price.

Pros:
  • Roomy cabin, big trunk, muscular performance from V6, smooth automatic transmissions, relatively sporty handling.
Cons:
  • Mediocre fuel economy, some cheap interior materials.

This is our second Mazda, having just traded a 2007 CX-9. Exterior styling is much more attractive than Honda Accord or Toyota Camry, and it is much sportier too. This car is a tremendous value. We paid $28,500 with $2000 in rebates.

Great car, huge interior, looks great, feels super smooth from the shifts to the ride.

Purchased a couple of weeks ago. Got the solid black; exterior styling most attractive on the road, kudos to the designers. Was appealing that the car, though selling well, is somewhat rare compared to the other brands, and very eye catching. The touches in the Touring Plus trim line with the leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear shift really set off the inside. Interior fit and finish is excellent, very high quality look and feel. Got the 4-cyl to get better gas mileage (got 29 MPG on first tank of mostly highway), but the engine theyre using is not particularly well engineered when compared to the performance of my older model 4-cyl Camry.

The new car smell of tan leather in a red car is a must! WOW! The tech features are outstanding. The Bose sound system is absolutely awesome. Comfort and quietness wherever you drive is just pure satisfaction. Acceleration is great, and the gas mileage on 87 octane is great. I have no complaints, and I test drove ALL of the mid-size luxury cars and this car wins. Period. It won. The trunk space with the back seats down will easily handle our Costco and Sams Club shopping trips. The quietness and super quality attention to details make this car a winner, no matter what luxury car you have been driving. I am extremely pleased. You will be too! Mazdas "Zoom Zoom" is infectious!!

I now have over 5500 miles on it. Just finished a round trip to the West Coast. Boy was this fun driving. Absolutely effortless and really enjoyed watching the miles just fly by. This is a road car! Everything works, no flaws or defects. Now let me tell you about changing the oil and filter yourself. I like to do my own and the Mazda engineers thought of people like me. There is a hole in the bottom plastic cover that allows the oil filter to be seen and absolutely easy to remove and replace. Exact same thing for the oil pan plug. Super thought and engineering on this means no mess, no drips. You could be wearing real nice clothes to do this!

  • If you cant afford a Jaguar - 2010 Mazda Mazda6

Lease expired on our beloved 2007 Mazda3 Touring. Checked out the 2010 3s and could not get past the homely grill. Test drove new Sonata and Camry. The Sonata is pretty and handles well, but the GLS feels like the economy car it is. The Camry (even in sportier SE trim) was not much fun to drive. The Fusion, Accord, Altima and Legacy styling do not move the pulse rate. If you put a leaping cat on the 6, it could be mistaken for a Jag. One car editor said it drove like a Jaguar XF. So whats the down side? The cloth seats are not that comfortable. The lumbar support does not hit me in the right place. Cheap Walmart seat cushions fixed that. Stereo is just okay. Mileage is mediocre.

Had the car about a month --major complaint is the pick up -could be better. If you have the extra $$$ go for the bigger engine --other than that, it is an excellent car so far

  • Best value I could find - 2010 Mazda Mazda6

I did not find any other make that offers power driver seat in the trim without leather. I think Ive found the best value car on the market. Mazda6 has very distinct appearance, very comfy interior with infinitely adjustable seats, and nice driving experience. From other hand, MPG is lower than Ive expected

Have had the car since 11/09 and still get excited to hop in and go for a drive. There was one comment on road noise below, which it has some of but, much less than the new Accord we test drove. Getting about 23 MPG mixed. Great response when stepping on the gas and wanting to pass, dart, or just show off.

So far Im very pleased with the purchase. Im still getting used to the advanced features. I guess I simply didnt know that a car could contain this much useful technology after driving a Hyundai Santa Fe for a few years.
