  • Really Disappointed - 2006 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT

MPG= 15 regardless of city/highway. This vehicle has spent more time in the dealers shop than my garage. Trans, rear defr, a/c, engine bearing, brakes have all been serviced, some of them twice. Im not hard to please, but this is the worst vehicle ive ever owned from a maintenance standpoint. (and they keep trying to upsell me some $500 maintenance package everytime i go to the dealer). I never had these issues with the Tahoe I owned prior to this.

I am coming out of a 2002 Eddie Bauer Explorer V8 and I cant believe the smooth power this truck possesses. The 2nd and third rows are roomier and easier to get in and out of and the DVD with wireless headsets are great! I tried to get back into another Explorer but Ford didnt seem to want my business as the E.B is now a former shell of what it once was in 2002, no 3rd row seats standard and unless your willing to spend $40K your not getting it well equipped and almost stripped other than the 2 tone paint. This Chevy fully loaded and in my opinion is a great value for the dollar.

  • Shouldve Bought the Tahoe - 2006 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT

I was looking for an SUV that was less than $50,000 and I was looking at the Tahoe and TrailBlazer. I thought I wouldve got better gas mileage than if I were driving a Tahoe but not true. My wifes 03 Tahoe gets better mileage than my 06 TrailBlazer This car has to go out of my garage and back onto the car lot.

Just got back May 23rd after leaving on the 14th of May to Memphis TN,and out west to Arizonia to the Grand Canyon, and over to Nevada to Las Vegas,Hoover Dam, then to Wyoming to Yellow Stone National Park, before heading back to Bowling Green KY.... While pulling a 2,000 lbs of a Pop-up Camper. I only got 16 miles to the gallon while towing camper trailer... But can honestly say that mechanically, driving, and the ride was excellent, didnt have any problems drove 4,995 miles including the trip back to Bowling Green KY... And I will add that we didnt let any grass grow at speed at 70-73 miles an hour even when we went through light rain showers.. It went right through the wet roads just fine..

I have had my Trailblazer for a year and am sorry I purchased it. It has front and rear a/c,however it takes so long to get cool. I have to drive several blocks for it to stop blowing hot air and get cool. My power windows have gone out twice and the moulding on the inside of the windows is loose. Not to mention the gas mileage is poor. The best thing about the car is the room. The third seat is wonderful, but somewhat difficult to get into.

  • Best SUV driven yet and best stylish - 2006 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT

Having driven the Ford Explorer and Dodge Durango, the Trailblazer was the most powerful and had the most room out of the 3. The truck handles great in the snow with its extra wide tires. Cant wait to by my next Trailblazer when Chevy makes a newly redesign SUV in 2007

  • Problems - 2006 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT
    By -

I bought the 2006 Trailblazer EXT with 20,000 miles. A week after I bought it the emissions light came on. I have had it to the garage 6 times and every time I get it the light is off. After driving it about a week the emissions light comes back on. They have replaced sensors and fuel valves. The vehicle has been to a General Motors dealer but they have not fixed the problem. The fuel gauge drops to empty when there is a quarter tank of gas. When I start the engine the gas gauge goes to where it is suppose to be and then after driving a little distance it again drops to empty and the low full light gauge comes on. Any idea how to fix the problem.

This is the best vehicle that we have ever owned. It is well designed, comfortable, very good appearance, and just plain fun to drive. We have owned this vehicle for approximately 3 months and it has not had any mechanical issues in that period.

  • NO Wonder People dont buy American - 2006 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT

I purchased this Trailblazer with 40 miles on it. Lets see what went wrong so far. Air Bag sensor went bad at 100 miles. Back hatch broke off because of cold at 7000 miles. Radio stopped working at 16000 miles. Onstar went on the fritz. My Engine light, went on at 20,000 miles. My Fuel light stays on at 40,000 miles. Chevy Emblem fell off at 45,000 miles. Tranny slipped at 50,000 miles. 4 Wheel drive light sensor on all the time at 52,000 miles. What more can I say? DONT buy Chevy...JUNK. I have owned Chevys all my life...NEVER again.
