  • Awsome car - 2009 Toyota Yaris

Absolutely love this car. Low initial cost and low cost to maintain. I have lifetime oil and filter changes. I am a no fuss guy who wants a reliable car with the lowest possible fuel consumption. Great steering wheel response. Super maneuverability and great road feel. This is equivalent to the Corolla of the 80s. A car for those of us who cannot be bothered with vehicle problems.

Bought the car for a commuter, and it does its job nicely. No complaints at all. If you understand what a subcompact car is before you go car shopping, then, and only then will you understand that this car is worth every penny. BTW, I took it off roading a while back, not by choice, and it did better than expected. Very tough.

I traded my 2005 Rav4 (manual) because my arch was hurting after daily 60 mile commute. I opted for a automatic with fuel efficiency and still fits my bike. This one is perfect. I got 35 mpg on first 2 tanks. It drives smooth. Sitting position is excellent. Ingress and egress is better than my Acura. Lots of safety features and a good stereo. I saw a car like this hurling down autobahn at 110 miles an hour last week. My girls call it a little blue jelly bean and prefer to go in this car than our Acura TSX or Toyota Sienna. There is a lot of leg room in the back. Just a fun little car. Toyota should also offer the diesel with this one.

In my opinion, people give out too many 10s these days, so Im trying to make my review as realistic as possible. Ive always driven a truck, but seeing the way the economy is and fluctuating gas prices, downsizing is the smart thing to do now. I dont have a lead foot, but Im not always the most conservative driver and Im getting 38 mpg doing about 30% city/70% highway. Looks great on the outside, the build quality is good. As far as reliability, I believe it was consumer reports that put it in its top 10 list of reliable cars at #7 so thats definitely a good thing. Overall, Im happy with the car and recommend it to friends when they say "Nice bubble, do you like it?"

Really enjoying my 2009 Yaris liftback. Very quiet inside cabin while driving in town or on highways. Getting about 400 miles per 11 gallon fill up from 50/50 city and highway driving. Very responsive handling and without bending my neck do not hit my head while getting behind the steering wheel. Im 60 tall. Car seems much larger sitting inside than when looking in from the outside. This is the first time I was able to get 2 vehicles inside my 2 car garage and with plenty of room to spare. The lift back door does not hit my garage door when both are fully opened and I can still stand up straight underneath the lift back fully opened with a couple inches to spare.

  • Great starter car - 2009 Toyota Yaris

Ive had my Yaris for about 3 months now, and have had absolutely no problems. I love it. I live in DC and it handles like a dream and is easy to park in a notoriously hard-to-park-in city. True it doesnt have a ton of features, but I wasnt looking for that. This isnt a starter car for me, but I would recommend it as a first car for anyone. I wanted something economical, but didnt want it to look or feel that way. My friend got a Honda Civic the same week I got my Yaris, and all of our friends like riding in my car better. :)

  • I bought two yarii this week! Woo hoo! - 2009 Toyota Yaris

For a subcompact car, this one delivers. Awesome fuel mileage is the deal on this car. It wont burn the tires off with take off, but youre gonna get at least 42 mpg with cruise and a/c on! Turn off a/c and cruise, and youre getting 50 mpg. The car is zippy, and contrary to opinion, big trucks do not blow you off the road. The thing will turn on a dime. Park anywhere.

  • Great First Car - 2009 Toyota Yaris

This is my first stick shift. I love the look of this car. After looking at multiple used cars I decided that it was a better deal to get the yaris. I have found it to be very easy to learn how to drive a manual on this car, and it definitely gets up and goes when you tell it to. I only drive about 15 miles to work but the mpgs on this car are amazing and save me a lot of money on gas. Overall the inside does feel cheap, but thats what you get in an economy car. Overall a great little car.

  • Love this car!!! Jackpot! - 2009 Toyota Yaris

I bought the 4 door, as I sometimes have to use a carseat, manual trans. I bought this car to commute to work 100 miles/day 5 days/wk. I get average 40 MPG at avg. 70 mph. Great on gas! Comfortable. Large trunk. I have a 3 y/o who sometimes rides with me, we have a larger carseat, it fits! I have not been disappointed with this buy! I have put 8000 miles on it so far!

  • Amazing - 2009 Toyota Yaris

Before buying a Yaris I did a ton of research on comparable cars and came to the conclusion that the Yaris Sedan was the best bang for the buck. I have not been disappointed. I love this car! Toyota was also offering 0% financing, so it was an even better deal. Comfortable and quiet (for the price), amazing gas mileage, and Toyota reliability. I couldnt be happier. In my opinion, the Yaris Sedan is the best car in its class... and I have looked at tons of other cars for comparison. I would recommend it in a heartbeat.
