Overview & Reviews
The lineup of Toyota Tundra pickups has been streamlined to include fewer configurations for 2011, while the base V6 gains variable valve timing and some 34 horsepower to go with it. Trailer sway control is now standard on all Tundras.

2011 TUNDRA DBL CAB 4X4 5.7 - 2011 Toyota Tundra
By oke3 - November 16 - 9:20 pmOnly 1400 miles so far but very pleased at this point. Engine is very smooth and powerful, the 6 spd auto takes some getting used to as it shifts differently than the older autos but handles the engines power well. MPG has been better than expected, 15 MPG was the worst, caused by some very hard acceleration during test drives by family and freinds, 19.6 has been the best, 90% highway 65 mph and under, so far overall average is 17.7 MPG. Ride is very good for a 4x4 truck. Cab is very quiet with little wind or road noise. Build quality seems good but not at same level as older toyotas. Paint quality is just average, probably as good as it gets with the EPA mandated products.

Bad tires - 2011 Toyota Tundra
By gobucks4 - July 28 - 10:14 amBought in November 2010, heater did not work, 6 days to repair. January 2011, 2 months old, back bumper was covered with rust, replaced. Tires are flat spotting in 24 hours, Toyota considers this a normal condition as designed. The truck shimmies severely for the first five miles. No Toyota exec would drive this truck on ice with this shimmy.

Good Quality Truck - 2011 Toyota Tundra
By Kevin - July 25 - 10:00 amWife talked me into going Toyota for my next truck. The Tundra is priced the same as a Tacoma 4 door but you get a better riding truck for the highway. Since it is a V8 I am not expecting a miracle in mileage but if it gets 17+ mpg I am happy. Its very roomy and a comfortable ride for highway driving. A little bumpy in city driving but all full size trucks will be that way.

Great Performer - 2011 Toyota Tundra
By tpj1959 - June 18 - 1:08 amI had owned Chevy trucks for the last few years and decided to get the Tundra cause I wanted a 4x4 and Toyota dealership seemed more hungry than Chevy. The benchmark trip that I make is going through Yosemite National Park to Tioga Pass which is on the east side of the mountains at approximately 10,000 feet. Comparing the Tundra to my Chevy pickups (4.8 and 5.3 liter engines), the Tundra outperformed them easily. The engine pulled so much better and the brakes did not smell like heat on the way down like my Chevys did. Its also assembled in Texas. My last Chevy was assembled in Mexico.

Toyota Tundra TRD Rock Warrior! - 2011 Toyota Tundra
By mowerman2011 - May 16 - 10:56 amI am a proud owner of a beastly 5.7 rock warrior trd tundra. Currenly own a lawn service business and it work like a hoss that it is. I love the 4X4 on a switch on the go. I went from a ford v6 4.2 litter and that got really bad gas mileage versus this monster of a truck. If your looking at the ford raptor and comparing to this well its a no brainer... buy the tundra! The tundra is more affordable and it will out last the ford raptor. Hope this helps.

Are they Kidding? - 2011 Toyota Tundra
By galagaplayer - December 15 - 11:13 pmThis truck is great. I test drove all the competitors and decided to pay a little more for the toyota. Resale will take care of those concerns in a few years. The others just dont compare. The 5.7 liter is smooth, and powerful. The ride is also very comfortable and I believe superior, I did not notice the Jitters that are mentioned in other reviews. I sprung for the 20 inch wheels, it really makes the vehicle pleasing to the eye. The edmunds review seems to be searching for something wrong. The only thing wrong is the lack of awards.

In Shop After One Week - 2011 Toyota Tundra
By kman - June 9 - 2:00 amBought this truck brand new and had it only one week before the Air Conditioner went out. Service is replacing most of the A/C system as metal shavings from the compressor infiltrated the system. I would not order the truck with Toyotas navigation system again. I was expecting at the very least, new maps. I received outdated maps coupled with an unfriendly system to use. Any Garmin blows it away. If you do get the Nav/Radio system, you must get the steering wheel controls. Otherwise it is so cumbersome to use its unsafe. My first Toyota. Im not filled with confidence.

Tundra - 2011 Toyota Tundra
By taydanry - February 2 - 10:00 amI own a 2010 crewmax with the Platinum package. I like the truck except I wish Toyota made the bed 6 1/2 feet for the crewmax. I also wish the fuel tank was bigger. It seems i fill this truck up more often than I did my Chevys in the past.

The good the bad and the ulgy - 2011 Toyota Tundra
By Knute Strander - December 21 - 10:00 amThe good: comfortable ride very quiet no rattles the bad: too much black in interior too much front end rake. I have to drive with bright lights on because front end is too low. I will have to install leveling kit. Other manufactures have trucks are level. Get with it Toyota. The ugly: 4.6L 17 mpg on hwy. @ 70 mph
