The 2010 Toyota Tacoma is essentially unchanged from last year.

• Wide variety of body styles and trims, engines offer good balance of power and fuel efficiency, excellent off-road ability, impressive build quality, well-appointed interior.

• Low seating position, spongy brake pedal, V6 can get noisy.

  Gen 2 Taco is the way to go! - 2010 Toyota Tacoma

  A mid-year 2nd Generation Tacoma is the best for stable, reliable technology and comfort. The extra 4" width is a noticeable improvement. I really wanted to avoid the mammoth screen in the center dash too, since this would be an off-roading/ family camping vehicle. The 2010 I bought had a single-din stereo and a two-way radio already installed, in addition to some off-road improvements. Watch out for 3 major recalls in 2nd Gen Tacos: frame rust, rear leaf springs, and air bags... but if those arent needed, these trucks are awesome!

  Good Truck, No Issues - 2010 Toyota Tacoma

  After the purchase I installed a Flowmaster Muffler, this helped to improve my feelings towards a 4 cylinder 4x4. Currently, I have over 4,000 miles logged and no complaints thus far. It is a far better truck than the competition, and it was made in California! I did not think I would buy a Toyota, with the economic issues but it has been well worth it. I recommend the SR5 package, it has a lot for the money, although the stock wheels and tires are horrible. Although most stock tires usually are not the best, I expected better. Overall, this truck is worth the money, no matter what the media says.

  Researched for a long time. What a solid and refined vehicle. All plastic matches and doesnt squeak. Comfortable and smooth ride. Sits high enough without realizing its a truck. Nice interior. Great storage and convertible seating. Versatility without being too big.

  look at the head lights if you buy this truck used. not that theres a problem with them, but the dealer ran mine thru a car wash and cracked them and I hadnt noticed til I got it home. (too late) also I would be very careful waxing it. the dealer detailed mine with wax. what a terrible job they did( got it all over the cladding). no problems with the truck its self just watch your dealer.

  Best bang for your buck in the truck world. The 6-speed transmission is pretty much flawless. TRD Suspension is very compliant for a daily driver. Tires arent the best but that is personal preference. There is a reason the taco is the best selling truck.

  As my first foreign truck, my 2010 Toyota Tacoma DBL cab, 4x4, TRD Sport, short bed is fun to drive on and off road. It is small enough where it is simple to park anywhere and just big enough for 5 small or medium sized people plus cargo. For tall people and the front seats pushed back, there is just enough room in the back for children. It has a solid feel, enough power, but fair on MPG. It looks good on the outside and inside. I love this truck and will probably buy another foreign truck in the future.

  In my life time I own many trucks from Chevy, Ford etc. When I was a young kid when gas was $.89 a gal.

  This is my first truck. Im a teacher by trade, but do a lot of work around the house and my wife drives a minivan that Ive "destroyed," so a pick up was a logical choice for me. I bought the Tacoma simply because it is the safest truck on the market today. Only the Tundra and Ridgeline compare. I also chose it because of the 6.1ft bed. I couldnt purchase a truck with a small bed. Didnt seem to make sense to me. The truck is quiet. In fact, its so quiet and the ride is so smooth, that I dont notice how fast Im going until I look down at the speedometer. The fit and finish is superb, no noises for me. The seats are comfortable, the steering is crisp, and the breaks are smooth.

  Just got this truck with the TRD Sport long bed package a week ago and I love it. Fun to drive and looks great. Had the Tundra for 10 years and I loved that one also. Just didnt need the new tundra because of its size. Having the 4 door long bed Tacoma will be just fine. Plenty of room for 4 adults.
