1st time Tacoma owner - 2010 Toyota Tacoma
By Taclover - November 21 - 9:56 amI really love this truck. I was looking for a truck that would last me at least 10 yrs and get good mileage. I love the box and suicide doors. The SR5 package is worth the money.

Great Truck - 2010 Toyota Tacoma
By Smolenski7 - November 19 - 11:13 pmThis is my first truck. Im a teacher by trade, but do a lot of work around the house and my wife drives a minivan that Ive "destroyed," so a pick up was a logical choice for me. I bought the Tacoma simply because it is the safest truck on the market today. Only the Tundra and Ridgeline compare. I also chose it because of the 6.1ft bed. I couldnt purchase a truck with a small bed. Didnt seem to make sense to me. The truck is quiet. In fact, its so quiet and the ride is so smooth, that I dont notice how fast Im going until I look down at the speedometer. The fit and finish is superb, no noises for me. The seats are comfortable, the steering is crisp, and the breaks are smooth.

Loving it - 2010 Toyota Tacoma
By New Guy - October 17 - 4:16 pmJust got this truck with the TRD Sport long bed package a week ago and I love it. Fun to drive and looks great. Had the Tundra for 10 years and I loved that one also. Just didnt need the new tundra because of its size. Having the 4 door long bed Tacoma will be just fine. Plenty of room for 4 adults.

My 2010 Tacoma @ 110,000 miles - 2010 Toyota Tacoma
By Tom Hamilton - June 7 - 12:04 amThis truck has been excellent, bought used at 30000 mi. Have towed trainers, and boats, been from Indiana to Texas twice, and Indiana to West Palm, Florida and back. Ive changed oil at 5000 mi. intervals, and checked all recalls at Toyota dealerships. Tires and brakes are original equipment. I bought new tires, Goodyear, at 98,108 and new brake pads front and rear. Had to replace a failing u-joint, squeaking, at 99,000 miles, found out there are 3 in the standard drive train, replaced all 3. We bought a single axle RV camper, installed a trailer brake controller, and an anti-sway kit, and pulled the camper (3500 lbs) from Indiana to the Grand Canyon, through the New Mexico, & Colorado Rocky Mountains, average speed of 70 mph.

Wish I could love the Taco, just like it - 2010 Toyota Tacoma
By TacoMan - April 16 - 12:06 amIf it werent for the -terrible- tires and the dealers even more disappointing response to the problem (feels like out of round tires @ highway speeds), Id love this truck. I bought what I wanted and kept it simple. 2x4 Prerunner, SR5, 5-speed. Guess Im gonna have to buy new wheels/tires, cause at this point I think the actual wheels are unbalanced. Oh, well!

Suspension Problems - 2010 Toyota Tacoma
By john1961 - March 1 - 1:32 pmI am very disappointed with the weak suspension caused by poor design. This is my 3rd Toyota truck and after poor response from Toyota Canada probably my last. For the sake of $350.00 for a solution they are willing to lose a longtime loyal client. If anyone has had success with Toyota to correct the problem I would like to know. Toyota were once known for their quality and durability but now I feel its all about money

Why the following? - 2010 Toyota Tacoma
By Robert - December 5 - 12:12 amHave owned my Tacoma 6 years. Base model. I hope the resale is good that will be the only thing I would like about this truck. I am a full size guy 230lbs and the seat has not held up very well. Lower back and rear end support are no longer there. I don’t know where all the 159 horses are when trying to maintain highway speed on modest uphill grade. I would expect much better fuel economy with this type performance. Pay load capacity is pathetic therefore I cant consider this a truck. 800lbs is dangerous. 5 to 600lbs of gear and dirt bike with a crosswind will make for a white knuckle drive and that’s after the addition of helper spring. Think about it, there are cars that you can put more in the trunk. However the truck has been reliable but I will not buy another. I do believe the following comes from Toyotas past reputation. Still have the truck and will not buy another, Not sure what the payload capacity is but cant be more than few bags of groceries.
