  • My little truck - 2007 Toyota Tacoma

The truck has done well for me. It has met my expectations to date. The only draw back is the dealer installed cruise control.

  • Love this truck so far. - 2007 Toyota Tacoma

Traded in a 2003 VW GTI for this truck, as we needed a more family-friendly vehicle. Bought with TRD Sport Pkg#1. Truck looks great, handles great, fun to drive. There are some minor design issues that would make a difference. Looks awesome with hood protector, stainless tube steps, and Lund tonneau cover. Love the 115v power outlet in the bed, but worried that composite bed material will scratch very easily. Need to find some carpet or something to line the bed with. Also wish you could get a factory sunroof in double cab models. Like any vehicle, not perfect, but pretty darn good, and hope the reliability is as good as our Sienna.

  • Worst mistake I made was selling it. - 2007 Toyota Tacoma

The title should say it all. I got antsy and sold my Taco for a sports car. Huge mistake. This truck was near perfect. That transmission rattle you hear? Dont let some whack job mechanic tell you you need a whole new clutch a flywheel. It just sounds like that. In town Id get no less than 22-23 mpg. And that was usually 16 miles round trip at 40 mph or less. I drive a Challenger R/T now and if someone said theyd swap me for my Tacoma again, Id do it in a heartbeat.

  • Great Truck, But... - 2007 Toyota Tacoma

It looks great. Its fun to drive. Its not very comfortable. It gets awful gas mileage. It has junky breaks. It has cheap paint. It doesnt offer an Mp3 adapter...even 5 years after its introduction...come on Toyota, whats the problem? No sunrooof option, thats a no brainer. Ok, thats enough. I still like my truck but next time around Ill be a little more picky.

Love this truck! The truck only has 320 miles on it, but its been a joy to own so far. Lots of power, handles great, and comfortable. Rides better than my 02 Tacoma 4WD did.

  • Typical Toyota - 2007 Toyota Tacoma

This is my 2nd Tacoma and 4th Toyota. I knew this was the only truck I was going to buy the only thing was to decide a color (black). There is a lot of storage. The storage under and behind the rear seats is beyond great. The composite bed is much needed. Although it can be slick. The engine power is excellent and after 17K miles I get 21 hwy and 18 mixed driving. I have no complaints except the paint scratches very easy. Toyota needs to address this along with the 17" sport wheels that have a pitting problem in the finish.

Picked up my new Tacoma this week and its quite a truck. Loads of standard equipment. Love the extra doors on the access cab. Terrific factory stereo. Smooooth transmission. Plenty of power for my needs. Sold my old Tacoma SR-5 with 170K trouble free miles to get the new one. It took all of 3 hrs. from the time I placed the ad until the cash was in hand. If this new truck works out as well as the old one, Ill be a happy camper. Dont know why youd consider any other small truck.

Fabulous truck!! This Toyota Ive owned now for 2.5 years and it hasnt let me down once and the mileage is fabulous!! It took until about 17,000 miles for the engine to feel like its broken in, now that it has Im getting 17.5 around town with a very short driving distance to and from work and on the highway Im getting up to 30!! Yes thats not a typo 30 with a V 6 , 4.0 liter engine, thats remarkable!! I have a sport model with the stiffer ride but this truck handles like a dream and has a ton of power, step on the gas and off you go!

  • 2007 Access Cab - 2007 Toyota Tacoma

Overall great truck. First new truck I have purchased and so far, no major disappointments. Ride gets a little "squirrely" when driving on grooved concrete highway, doesnt seem to stay on track. Ride gets bouncy when empty, but not sure what happens when it is loaded. So far, Ive only driven it empty. My old truck was a full-size crew cab, and this is a welcome change when buying fuel. So far, getting around 21 mpg, and havent used cruise control yet. Im hoping to improve to about 23 mpg. Plenty of power, but I havent really tested it yet (still in break in). Im getting used to the shift configuration, and should have it down soon, but it is not what Im familiar with.
