All 2005 Toyota Camry models receive freshened exterior styling with a new grille, headlamps, taillamps and wheel designs. All Camrys now have antilock brakes as standard equipment, and the optional automatic transmission for all models is now a five-speed unit. Camry #1 How many years in a row? - 2005 Toyota Camry
By Thomas - December 16 - 4:30 pmThis is the 3rd Toyota Camry Ive owned and they have all been purchased USED. I buy them with 30,000 miles or less and drive them for (no less than 4 years)and an additional 150,000 miles until trade in. Total annual cost (average) to own the vehicle? $2910 including tax, title and maintenance. When my current Camry is paid off in 2 months the annual cost to own my Camry will drop to $419. And Ill ride that out for 2 more years. Not a bad annual cost to ride a fully loaded Camry V6 XLE loaded to the gills. Since 1997? Why would I drive ANYTHING else. Seriously!

LOVE my Camry - 2005 Toyota Camry
By Angela Walters - December 7 - 11:46 amI LOVE the Camry. I purchased my second Camry in Dec of 2004. I had a 1996 Camry and traded it in for a 2005. And if you have not noticed the Camry is basicly the exact same car as the Lexus GS300 with minor changes (of course with comparable options). Just can not say enough about the Camry. It is definetly worth the money and more. To me there is no reason to even buy the V6. The 4 cylinder Camry performs great. Just love it love it love it.

All Around Great Car! - 2005 Toyota Camry
By Ryan Close - November 20 - 11:06 amI compared this car to the Altima, Accord and Mazda 6. The overall quality of the car puts these other cars several notches back! The Camry is not a flashy as the others but I want the best of the best from my cars now! If you are in the market for one of these cars I would suggest you try them all to form your own opinion, but youll find yourself going back to the Camry!

2005 Camry with balky transmission - 2005 Toyota Camry
By seaview7 - November 11 - 7:21 pm2005 Camry SE V6 engine. Only 36,000 miles. The electronic transmission has been awful since day one. It balks at low speeds, and hesitates and jumps, like it cant find the right gear. Dealer says there is nothing they can do to correct. Its in the computer. Gas mileage around town with the V6 engine is bad. I drive fairly slow, but only average about 16 mpg. I should have got 4 cyl. Had factory recall in 2012 for a bad camshaft pulley. Dealer claims they also found my valve covers leaking oil. Charged me $600. The only thing I like about my car is the interior room, and the solid feel. Much better than the new Camrys. The 2013 Camrys feels "cheap" and the interior is tight.

I Love my Camry - 2005 Toyota Camry
By Meg - November 10 - 11:46 amI love my new camry. My one and only complaint is do NOT have a sunroof installed after market. Only buy with a "Toyota" brand sunroof. Toyota installed a sunroof aftermarket for me and they cannot service it. Thats a problem I was not aware of when I bought my car.

GREAT CAR - 2005 Toyota Camry
By Marc - October 7 - 6:20 pmI was leasing a 2002 Honda Accord SE, and my lease is up. I was initially looking at BMW 3 series, Acura and Cadillac. I really didnt want to spend the extra $$$, and decided to give the Camry a test drive. Within the first 5 minutes of the test drive, I knew I was going to buy the Camry.
