Overview & Reviews
For the 2004 Toyota Camry, a new 3.3-liter V6 is standard on SE V6 models. Relative to last year's 3.0-liter V6, this engine offers 33 more horsepower and an additional 31 pound-feet of torque, boosting ratings to 225 and 240, respectively. Fortunately, Toyota has also boosted the 3.0-liter engine's output -- it now makes 210 hp and 220 lb-ft of torque in V6-equipped LE and XLE models. Both V6 engines come standard with a five-speed automatic transmission this year. In other news, a new trim has been introduced; the Limited Edition Camry comes in an exclusive crystal-white color, and offers a unique front grille, standard foglamps and champagne-color exterior badging.
- Roomy, comfortable, plenty of safety and luxury features, high resale value, strong reputation for reliability.

Torqued windshield & odd tranny - 2004 Toyota Camry
By Bruce G - October 10 - 5:13 amPleasant to drive, lots of room but the radio sounds a bid cheap despite a bunch of speakers. The windshield developed a tiny crack near the roof that progressively lengthed to about 2 feet before replaced. There seems to be a tendency for the chassis to twist and crack the windshield! Like others Ive had a dash rattle. Also, tap the brakes when slowing from 70 on a downslope and the tranny very perceptively downshifts. No answers from dealer.

A decent car at last - 2004 Toyota Camry
By pcr - October 9 - 10:00 amAfter years of driving compact cars, I test drove a Camry as was hooked. With the air conditioning on full-blast, I could accelerate to 90 in seconds up a steep WV hill--with a 4-cylinder engine. In 35000 miles, Ive had only comfortable rides, no mechanical problems, confidence when on the road late at night, and compliments on my taste in cars. Ill buy another Camry in 10 or 12 years, when I pass this down to my daughter.

Toyota Camry - 2004 Toyota Camry
By Leosgirl - October 9 - 10:00 amI love my Camry and almost everything about it, the only thing that surprised me was that it uses much more gas then expected and costs me about $30.00 per week for gas and I do not drive a far distance weekly.

Caution - 2004 Camry - 2004 Toyota Camry
By traveler464 - September 23 - 3:30 amPlease note that if you have a 2004 or 2005 Toyota Camry, you may want to dump it now before it is too late. The vehicle has a part called the throttle body assembly which was of a faulty design and was redesigned. Toyota sent out a technical service bulletin reference number EG023-05. This part, the throttle body assembly with motor, costs $934. On our 2004 Toyota Camry XLE, replaced this on 08-06- 2007. On 09-09-2009, this part quit again and my wife had to walk an extended distance and Toyota refused to repair this faulty part for less than $1100.66. They had every excuse imaginable. Bottom line - Toyota does not stand behind their product - DUMP THEM.

Left worries behind - 2004 Toyota Camry
By Sophia - September 19 - 7:36 amWe bought this car new and also bought extended warranty. What caught our eye was the provision that all money will be refunded if warranty were never used. And you know what - after 7 years we got all our money back! The car is 13 years old now and all we have to replace ( besides wearable items like brakes and tires) was catalytic converter and the battery. So in our case Toyota proved its reliability for sure. The only bad thing were the original tires - we had to replace them after only 17000 miles and we had to pay for them, because it was the only thing not covered by original warranty. The tires were not made by Toyota, but still, they have to install more durable tires.

2004 TOYOTA CAMERY LE - 2004 Toyota Camry
By REX MAUK - August 28 - 10:00 amI CONSIDER THIS TO BE A EXCELLENT CHOICE FOR EVERY DAY TRANSPORTATION AND SHORT WEEKEND TRIPS. IT IS A VERY QUIET SOLID SQUEEK FREE CAR. HANDLING AND BRAKING ARE GOOD AND PREDICTABLE WITH GOOD FEEL. FIT AND FINISH IS BETTER THAN AVERAGE WITH DOORS THAT SOUND SOLID WHEN CLOSED. OVERALL I THINK A VERY GOOD INVESTMENT FOR THE MONEY.

A Cheaper Lexus - 2004 Toyota Camry
By Italnprnce - August 28 - 10:00 amWe love our Camry, the ride is amazing! Smooth all around. Quality everywhere. The only problem we are having is with squeaky seats driver and passenger. Been back to the dealer 4 times already. They still squeak! Other then that, love it.
