In an effort to make Camry ownership more affordable, Toyota adds an entry-level Standard model to the lineup this year. All 2005 Toyota Camry models receive freshened exterior styling with a new grille, headlamps, taillamps and wheel designs. All Camrys now have antilock brakes as standard equipment, and the optional automatic transmission for all models is now a five-speed unit. Inside, all Camrys feature Optitron gauges, steering wheel audio controls, a rear center headrest and upgraded seat fabrics. The XLE V6 now includes standard leather seating.

Beyond all expectations! - 2005 Toyota Camry
By EricH - June 25 - 5:00 pmI am coming from a 2001 Grand Am GT which I had purchased new in 2001. THe difference between the cars is night and day. Everything in the Camry has a sense of refinement and quality. The noise and road isolation is awesome, but the car still handles wonderfully. The Camrys acceleration with the 4cylinder is still great, even compared to the near 200hp Grand Am. I would highly recommend this car to everyone I know (if you like sporty, perhaps check out the Camry SE). I will definitely be buying another Camry in the future when I want to replace this one. I cant stop raving about this car!

By cutedh - June 5 - 11:46 amThis car is a true beauty. Had it for little over a month and its so smooth and luxurious. My neighbors are jealous. Love the leather interior and the simulated wood....makes it look so refined and expensive.

By Anonymous - May 12 - 2:00 amBought mine in 2007 with 6k on it. This has been an excellent car, best Ive owned, but also the lowest mileage. It now has 76k on it. No issues, and a consistently great performing car. I put TripleTread tires on and it does awesome in the rain now. I too love the steering wheel radio controls, cruise works great, great visibility. And Ill share a condensed story: was passing a car on a two-lane one day.. punk kid thought hed be cute and not let me get around. I punched it hard and took off like a rocket, from 60mph, quickly jumping to 100mph! left him in the dust. This from a 4 cyl! Ive wanted to trade it in several times for something sportier, but cant bring myself to do it yet.

As far a reliability I know when my wife has to drive somewhere by herself I know she is getting behind the wheel of a high quality car that she can depens on and be safe. Thank you Toyota for building a great product.

A Great Car to Own - 2005 Toyota Camry
By kirk westrell - April 23 - 1:36 pmI bought the Toyota Camry for my Real Estate business. I have put on 30,000 miles in one year. The car is problem free and stands up to the highway. It is easy to drive and comfortable to ride in. The Camry is a great car for commuting or on the open highway. I only had to replace a tire which was ruined by a nail. The gas mileage has been usually 30-34mpg. On my first trip to Texas in the car, I actually got 37 mpg since I had the cruise control set. I have had the car serviced on time and have had no mechanical difficulties other than the flat tire. The 4 cyl engine packs a lot of power and the 5 speed transmission adds to the great performance of this car. It is a 10.

By LQ - April 6 - 12:06 amI just bought this car a month ago and I just love it. The car is incredibly quiet and easy to drive. In addition, the drivers seat is extremely comfortable. I used to get a lot of lower back pains when driving my old car, especially when sitting in traffic after getting out of work everyday, well, ever since I got my new car, I dont feel any more back pains. The different seat controls for the drivers side gives you so many options that its just impossible not to be comfortable. I also enjoy the space inside the car. Even though, Im a petite person, I usually have tall people driving with me and they feel very comfortable in the car.

Great Car! - 2005 Toyota Camry

It has high mileage, but everyone knows that Toyotas can get over 2000 mi. and still keep on going. This car has plenty of pep and is fun to drive. It looks, feels and acts like a brand new car. I had read some of the reviews before deciding to purchase mine and it was very helpful in making my decision. I would recommend this car to anyone. I feel that this car is definitely a keeper!

Great Ride - 2005 Toyota Camry
By Evitzo - February 15 - 7:20 pmMy mom just got this Camry and it is awsome for the price. I drive it whenever shes not driving it and it is way more comfortable than my 2000 Mazda Protege. The trim is really nice and cabin noise is very low. It drives at very low rpms, even when your going 80+ on the freeway. Handling is a bit sluggish but it isnt supposed to be a race car. The steering wheel turns very easily as if it is a rear wheel drive car. I am very satisfied with the gas mileage and oil changes are only every 4 months or 5000 miles which is great.

100K and going strong - 2005 Toyota Camry
By mjlk - February 15 - 2:00 amI just hit 100,000 miles this week and this car has given me the most trouble free 100,000 of any vehicle I have owned in 30+ year of driving. not the most exciting car Ive owned but highly recommend one if you are looking for a used car.
