This Year's Model Updates:

A 155-horsepower, 2.3-liter, four-cylinder engine; a seven-speaker stereo; and a driver-seat armrest are now standard on all Aerios. LX sedans (formerly called GS) and SX wagons now offer heated mirrors, foglights, a revised rear spoiler and an automatic climate control system on cars equipped with ABS. There's also a new 15-inch alloy wheel design.

Pros:
  • Wagon-body style, available all-wheel drive, affordable price, roomy interior, powerful standard engine, solid crash test scores.
Cons:
  • Almost no storage space in the cabin, low-grade interior plastics, sloppy handling, no side airbags available.

  • Love that Suzuki! - 2004 Suzuki Aerio

I purchased my 2004 Aerio SX new in June of 2004 and I love the car. I drove it from Columbus, OH to Cincinnati, Dayton, Mansfield, and Indianapolis, IN as part of my job as a manufacturers rep until early 2009 and usually got 28 to 30 mpg on the highway. I have over 156,000 miles on the car and have had minimal problems (in fact the only one was the replacement of a catalytic converter), but I change the oil every 3K to 5K miles, and have had two or three brake jobs and one engine tune-up with new platinum plugs plus about three tire (all 4) changes. Even with all the miles it has had very reasonable maintainence costs. Too bad Suzuki dropped this model for a smaller version of it.

ill tell you what, buy this car. you cant beat the performance you get out of this car for the money. it is quick and fun to drive. its got plenty of interior room not to mention a huge trunk. i was in the market for a wagon, but decided to get the aerio sedan for its great value and performance. im very satisfied with this car.

  • My newest purchase - 2004 Suzuki Aerio

My husband and I purchased a 2004 Aerio SX Wagon Standard on May 1, 2006 to replace my Ford Ranger XLT, which I was putting 45 dollars in gas a week into. I havent measured the gas mileage, all I know is now Im only paying 25 dollars a week in gas, as opposed to the 45, which is great. I do a lot of interstate driving to and from work, and this car has so much more oomph than my Ranger did. Its very roomy for being a smaller car, and the storage is great. I love the storage in the trunk.

I REALLY DO ENJOY MY 03 SX ITS A FUN CAR TO DRIVE AROUND. LOTS OF EXTRAS FOR THE PRICE, TOO. I HIGHLY RECAMEND FOR ANYONE WHO DOSNT WANT TO SPEND ALOT OF MONEY AND WANTS A PROFORMENCE ECONOMY CAR THIS IS IT. ITS POWER TO WIEGHT RATIO IS NOT TO BAD 145HP TO 2600LB COMPARE TO OTHER VEHICLES IN AND OUT OF ITS CLASS. BUT MORE HP IS ALWAYS O.K.

  • Too Much Fun - 2004 Suzuki Aerio

What a great little car, I read a great many reviews before I bought this vehicle, my suggestion to anyone thinking of buying one. GO TEST DRIVE ONE. Most consumer mags are not in my opinion very complimentary towards this vehicle, they tend to lump it with other vehicles that look like it, they nock the styling, handling, and some how conclude that the interior material is cheap or low quality material. I couldnt disagree more on all counts. I have over 6,000 fun filled miles in this little jewel. I am 6 feet tall about 230lbs & over the age of 50 and this car is just "Too much Fun", gas has avg 27mpg + daily commute 50mi round trip in Western PA.

  • Rise of the Tall Cars - 2004 Suzuki Aerio

I purchased the Aerio because it was the least expensive AWD vehicle I could find. The new style of building the car up rather than out is what sets this vehicle apart. I shopped the competition but their interiors felt cramped in comparison. Why do automakers have you sit on the floor with your legs out in front of you? This is a style of automaking that should go the way of the dinosaur. The exterior styling has grown on me, and I enjoy being one of the few in my area that has this car. I get many favorable comments on it from other motorists. I cant believe that a car in this price range has so many standard features.

  • This makes 2 - 2004 Suzuki Aerio

After purchasing our first used Aerio Sedan in April, 2004, I was so impressed with it, that I bought a new Aerio SX in May...just about a month after the first purchase!!! These are sharp looking and performing cars...am a little disappointed that the gas mileage is not higher...but hey, at 29- 32 miles per gallon, who am I to complain with all the Aerio has too offer!!! I recommend these autos very highly!!!
