This Year's Model Updates:

The 2007 Subaru Forester lineup includes two additional trim levels, the Sports 2.5 X and Sports 2.5 XT, which offer a hip styling motif inside and out. In other news, all Foresters except the base 2.5 X model get an upgraded CD player with MP3, WMA and CD-RW capability. It's also Sirius Satellite Radio-ready and has an auxiliary jack for connecting handheld MP3 players. Additionally, the base 2.5 X gains electronic brakeforce distribution, while the Forester XT Limited gets standard 17-inch wheels. The front door panels in all Subaru Foresters now have bottle holders, and the base engine now meets the PZEV standard in California and the Northeastern states. Lastly, the turbo engine has been re-rated for 224 horsepower.

Pros:
  • Class-leading crash test scores, standard all-wheel drive, rides and handles like a car, powerful turbo engine.
Cons:
  • Tight legroom in the backseat, too much road noise at highway speeds.

I now have 54000 miles on my Subaru with no major problems. The carpet on the drivers side and the heavy rubber floor mat did wear through at 32000 miles but was replaced under warranty. Just replaced the tires with Yoko Geolander A/T-S. THIS is the tire that should have from the factory.

My first new car in 25 years. It has exceeded just about all my expectations. Its great fun to drive and very responsive. It towed my pontoon boat with no problems. Ive abused it with weekend excursions along the back roads of the Eglin AFB reservation -- sandy, soft roads often with deep mudholes. Came close, but havent been able to get it stuck yet! And Ive pulled out a few other drivers along the way. Dont get it into water too deep, though -- youll ruin your charcoal canister, and theyre expensive! My overall average fuel economy since new is 25.63 mpg -- thats with complete records through 62,000 miles. I enjoy this car thoroughly and would buy another in a heartbeat!

I love it with one exception. The heater. It is a cold winter and I cant seem to get enough warm air on my feet. It gets very warm from my belt up, but my feet are cold. I only have 3000 miles on it and I am going to have the dealer look at it. May be just an adjustment.

This is my 2nd Forester and 3rd Subaru. I really love the control and ease of these cars. Deep snow doesnt bother them at all. I like that I dont have to push a button to use all wheel drive. My LL Bean is similar to my previous 2003 XS except it now has power seats. The new dual valve system has taught me to drive with a light foot, otherwise the mileage suffers. I also dont use my brakes as much because the engine slows the car down when you let up on the gas.

  • I like my Forester - 2007 Subaru Forester

My 07 Forester is the best of all worlds for a small SUV. Runs on regular unleaded and I am getting just under 30 mpg on the highway. Service is very good from my local dealer. The standard all wheel drive is awesome in the rain. Good price point for all you get on a Subaru.

I love this car. Got 8 inches of snow 1 week after I bought it, and it was great. Handles like a dream. Im over 6 foot and have plenty of room. Looks great too. I feel very safe in this car. Had a small S.U.V. before and was afraid it would tip over, not in my new Subaru. A very fun to drive car.

  • Love our car! - 2007 Subaru Forester

It out-performs and gives me more satisfaction than all the other cars Ive had before, including several Mercedes-Benzes, a Cadillac, Lincoln, Volvo, and Nissan. It has smooth handling, a great braking system, realistic road feel with its suspension, and excellent cargo space. The roomy interior is well-thought out with 8! cup holders, many storage areas, and just an overall superior design to those "luxury" cars. My wife, my adult daughter and I are in love with our Forester.

  • Excellent Car. Still an excellent car. Still Great - 2007 Subaru Forester

The 2007 Subaru Forester is a great car. Solid, reliable, roomy, trouble free. I will buy another one. My car was rear ended and sent off to the shop. The Subaru people did a great job making it look like new. They missed replacing a key part and it was very unstable. Subaru said it was fine, but an independent shop spotted the problem and fixed it . The car runs like its brand new! Smooth and comfortable. Im going for 250,000 miles before I even think of trading it in for another Subaru. My 2007 Subaru is still running great. No problems. Wish all cars were made this well.

My first Subie - love it. Every morning I cant wait to get behind the wheel and slam the RPMs near red line. By the way mine is non-turbo. Took it off-roading today in the Marine Headlands and handled perfect in mud, wet grass, gravel, and pouring rain. Im planning on putting winter Blizzacks for winter driving to Tahoe to fully appreciate the AWD. Added a bra, cargo box liner, Weathertech floor mats (a MUST), synthetic oil after 1K. This will not be my last Subie. Bring the Forester STI to the States!!

  • Wonderful Car for a Reasonable Price - 2007 Subaru Forester

This is my first Subaru, but it wont be my last. I appreciate the features and attractive interior that come with the LL Bean model. The ride is quiet and smooth with responsive steering. It handles the hilly and curvy desert roads where I live quite nicely. The AWD leads to only a slightly stiffer ride as compared to my Camry, but I have found it to be less stiff than any of the other SUVs I tried (including Volvo). With the LL Bean model you get a lot of nice upgrades for a very reasonable price. The A/C also works very well in our extreme temperatures.
