This Year's Model Updates:

The number of available configurations has been significantly reduced for the 2010 Nissan Pathfinder. The SE Off Road trim bites the dust, while options packages have been reorganized.

Pros:
  • Plenty of power from V6 and V8 engines, attractive cabin with good ergonomics, generous storage room, strong towing ability.
Cons:
  • Guzzles gas, cramped second- and third-row seats, less cargo space than large crossovers, feels truckish to drive.

The Pathfinder is a magnificent car with all the handling and comfort anyone should want or need in a mid- sized SUV. Plus, I pull both a heavy boat and a car trailer. The 6 Cyl engine is plenty and it has all the towing power and handling with a trailer, yet still gets better gas mileage than most other SUVs when empty! I use 87 Octane and do fine. These are such great cars that my 40 year old son traded his Tahoe and bought a 2010 Pathfinder also!

Got an 08 for hubs cuz the deal we got. Our love affair w/Nissan began! Someone turned in front of him when it was a week old. Minor, fixed easily. When I got mine, I told sales I didnt want a black or Pathfinder (since hubs already had). Well, didnt have $ for Armada so ended up w/ my black Pathfinder LE! Ive had it for 2.5 years and am in love. Few mos ago, a car was came at me head on, hwy speeds. Had to drive into a ditch, he hit my back 1/4 pan at 50mph & spun me 90 deg. in the ditch My 2wd Pathy drove in the ditch like it was a road. Had a bruised knee & neck/back injured. He had no insurance, so mine footed the bill. $8000 in damage, (mostly to rear susp) but shes good as new!

  • Great SUV - 2010 Nissan Pathfinder

Im really glad I decided on the Pathfinder. I looked at the Explorer, 4Runner, and Pilot, however the Pathfinder suited me best. It was nicely equipped and has lots of power. The ride is firmer than the explorer and the 2nd row has less room, however my teenage boys say they have plenty of room. The gas mileage is on par with other SUVs of this size, but you are recommended to use premium gasoline. The keyless operation has taken some getting used to. Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase.

  • Did It Again - 2010 Nissan Pathfinder

Had such good luck with my 2006 Pathfinder that when the lease was up I decided on a 2010. The engine is bullet proof. All I ever did to my "06 was change the oil, replace the air filter and rotate the tires. I never brought it in for any of the scheduled services and at 52,000 miles when the lease expired the truck ran as good as new. I never had any engine related problems. I think what partially sold me on getting another Pathfinder is the 3rd row seating in a smaller/sportier vehicle instead of being forced to buy a gigantic SUV like a Suburban. The Pathfinder fits in my garage. I have noticed a few improvements in the 2010 compared to the 2006.

  • Strong SUV Nissan Quality - 2010 Nissan Pathfinder

Ive had this SUV for couple of months now and so far no problems what so ever. Been off roading several times and matched performance those from Xterra and FJ cruisers. Plenty of power to TOW, because of durable and reliable v6. Really quiet on the highway.
