Overview & Reviews
The 2006 Nissan Armada SUV now has dual-zone automatic climate control and a 60/40-split fold-flat third-row seat as standard equipment. Nissan has also added upgraded side mirrors to the LE trim and a standard tow package to the SE Off-Road. Finally, satellite radio is a new option this year.
- Spacious interior, powerful V8 engine, lots of storage areas up front, fold-flat 60/40 third-row seat, comfortable ride quality around town, solid tow rating.
- Leather seats not as comfortable as their cloth counterparts, dismal fuel mileage, cumbersome to park.

No Regrets! - 2006 Nissan Armada
By Julie P - April 26 - 5:06 pmEnjoy it so much that I probably will buy it again once its time for a new car. It feels like a big workhorse to drive, but it is a big vehicle. Pulls boats like they are not even there. Fuel economy is not great, but comparable to other similar SUVs. Flawless dependability. Ive had mine for 2-1/2 years without any maintenance issues... none.

By FLGardner - March 2 - 10:50 amVery nicely apportioned vehicle. Quite a bit less in price than the Infiniti QX56 with all the bells and whistles. Very well put together and comfortable. Spacious interior very well put together.

armada 2006 - 2006 Nissan Armada
By JLNRMRA - February 21 - 7:53 amGreat vehicle. Is the perfect mix between elegance and sport. Its like the BMW; we all know its built for performance but shines for its elegance. Down side... gas/miles but if you use synthetic oil and go easy at take off youll get close to 300 miles/ tank which is not bad for the size of this engine (5.6L). The brake assist sistem is really awesome. I have two Seadoo GTX on a double trailer (1500 lb.) and you cant tell the difference.

Best SUV - 2006 Nissan Armada
By The Beast - February 20 - 4:06 pmIm not an SUV person. Ive always been a 2dr sports car man until I drove the 2006 Armada. Its the BOOM! It will blow away the average SUV and many other 2006 models without making the exhaust dual. (Duals are a waste of money and are very noisy. Be cool and pick up your babe in a nice and quiet Armada. If you need noise, go get a bike and clip on a few cards.

best large SUV for the $$ - 2006 Nissan Armada
By pc - December 13 - 5:40 pmPrior to buying this, I was actually pretty set on the 07 Yukon, however there were certain features on the Armada that won me over. 1. Interior space - this vehicle has more room in the drivers cockpit the the GMC. Also, 2nd row has a lot of legroom. 2. 3rd row seats - I cant understand why GM has not gone to a fold flat 3rd row - I just leave the seats down until needed. 3. Ride quality is great - independent rear suspension does make a nice difference. Also has excellent ground clearance. I am one of those people that actually needs and uses the 4 wheel drive on an SUV. While the LE comes with street tires, it does have excellent manners off road. Traction control works great.

At last a reliable, big SUV - 2006 Nissan Armada
By Sauerbrey - October 15 - 3:56 amGreat reliability. Owned Fords for years, but gave up on them due to customer service/reliablity issues. Couldnt be happier with my choice. This rig is bombproof, tows my trailer like its not there, good off-road capability. It just works!!

Best car ever purchased - 2006 Nissan Armada
By Henry Oliva - October 15 - 1:50 amI have had a very good experience with this vehicle. I would recommend the Armada to anyone. It is fun to drive and everywhere I go I get complimented on my Armada. I am a big guy and the space is incredible, I have never been in an suv with so much leg and arm room. My father is now thinking of purchasing one of his own. He says it looks sleek and very luxurios. If you are in the market for a suv, I give the Armada 2 thumbs up.

Unique SUV - 2006 Nissan Armada
By Kingsley A. Antwi - October 14 - 11:56 pmI purchased this SUV in August 2006, after shipping my old pathfinder abroad. The body style is unique among all the SUV brands. It has a lot of leg room, good entertainment system and numerous storage places as compared to its competitors. It drives beautiful and stable on highway. It took me half tank from Pembroke Pines to Orlando within 3 hours, pretty good on gas on highway driving. I wont trade in for any other model because of its unique body.

still love it!!!!! - 2006 Nissan Armada
By chunter4 - September 1 - 3:58 amI bought my Armada in 2008 with 27000your miles on it. It now has 90000! I have driven it everyday since I got it and love it like I did the first day I got it. My husband hates cleaning the interior because of the texture. I have changed the brakes and rotors and thought the a.c. was bad because it wasnt blowing in the front.Come to find out it needed a cabin filter $26.00!! I live in CO and in ten years never drove in the snow until I got the Armada. Its amazing in the snow, ice, heavy rain, and cruises on a nice day.Captains chairs in the middle make it so nice for the kids. I would NEVER EVER trade this for any other vehicle.

A stylish and tough tow vehicle - 2006 Nissan Armada
By Patrick McDaniel - January 25 - 4:33 amI needed a comfortable vehicle that could also pull my 30 ft, 7000 lb travel trailer. The Armada fulfills my every requirement. I added an aftermarket induction system and exhaust so have even more horsepower. I can tow easily at 70 mph and still achieve 13-15 mpg. The LE comes standard with transmission temp gauge and self-leveling suspension which works well for towing. I would have purchased the optional exterior trailer mirrors but I like the LEs power folding mirrors so well that I left them as is. The front rotors have been revised so front brake pad wear appears to be much improved over early models.
