The RX-8 is an all-new car for 2004. Its arrival marks the return of Mazda's rotary engine to the U.S. market. Priced less than Nissan's 350Z, the RX-8 also offers four doors and a usable backseat.

The Beast - 2004 Mazda RX-8
By PA zoomer - January 3 - 10:00 amThis is the best car I have owned. Styling is great but the handling and sheer fun of driniing is the key to Zoom! HAve seen people walk into cars trying to figure what it is. Seats hold you in place to the max and it is great on the interstate. Drop from 6th a couple gears and kick in and the fun begins, even if you can watch the gas gauge fall as you do. At over $2 a gallon not fun filling up, but if you cant afford the gas, dont buy the car. Destined to be one of the great ones.

By Ninco - December 22 - 10:00 amThis car is a blast to drive. This is also my first RWD vehicle. I will tell you this, taking corners in this vehicle is effortless. FOr such a sporty suspions, the ride is quite comfortabe.

Great Styling...Poor Performance - 2004 Mazda RX-8
By UnR1 - December 8 - 10:00 amI bought the RX8 strictly fsor its styling...the performance is not nearly as good as its competitors (350z, evo, g35, etc...) Mazda recently admitted that the real HP figures are 238...not 250. And from actual dyno results, it looks like it may be less. I love the styling though, looks awesome!

Loving to Drive - 2004 Mazda RX-8

I have only had my RX-8 for two weeks, but it has been wonderful. The styling is close to exotic and I get lots positive comments about its looks. The performance is just what I expected, handles better than a porche, but not so fast that you will drive over your head easily.

Weak Attempt - 2004 Mazda RX-8
By btucker22 - December 2 - 2:00 amI purchased an RX-8 fully anticipating a real sports car. little did i know that not to long after i took delivery, my car lost horsepower, what was once quoted as a 5.9 0-60 car is now a 7.2 0- 60 as tested by mazdaspeed. Very dissapointed.

I love how it handles every turn so smoothly and i love just turning down the music and listening to the sound of the rotary motor just spinning away. It is so peaceful just to sit there listening to it i could almost fall asleep. This car IS a dream come true.

By anoymous - November 15 - 10:00 amGet the manual because it has more power than the automatic although it is more expensive. The hadling is beautiful and is roomy in the front of the car, but the back can get a little cowded if you are taller than six feet.
