This Year's Model Updates:

All new for 2004, the Mazda 3 receives only minor changes for 2005. The four-door "i" model gets a new 15-inch wheel cover design, and Sirius Satellite Radio is now available on all models.

Pros:
  • Fun-to-drive character, stylish interior design, strong engines, hatchback utility.
Cons:
  • Ride might be too stiff for some, a few ergonomic quirks, tight rear legroom.

I LOVE this car! You will surely enjoy this vehicle but there are some drawbacks; for one you cant really pack the trunk full of things because this car can bottom out but there might just be damage that the dealership cant see that it underneath the chassis. But overall a good car.

  • Perfect City Car - 2005 Mazda Mazda3

The Mazda 3 goes to show that sleek styling, sharp handling, & a powerful engine doesnt cost a fortune. The interior is well appointed and instrument panel is conveniently layout out. It has rigid steering and I feel in control of the car at all times. The Mazda 3 is perfect for the city, its not to big and not to small but just right.

  • What a beauty! - 2005 Mazda Mazda3

This is a wonderful car. I compared it to other similar cars in its class (Civics, Jettas, Golfs, Subarus, Corollas) and the M3 stands above all of them. I am elated to have purchased this car!

Ive had this car for about 6 months now, and it is a very reliable, responsive and fun car to drive. The metallic red turns heads, the interior is well done, and gas mileage has averaged 27 combined with the 2.3 .

Okay fellas ... It would be a wise investment for the safety of all to purchase a set of winter rims and tires as most of us above the 49th parallel understand that there are different compounds and characteristics of rubber that suit different temperatures and environments. The M3 has great curb appeal, well laid out interior - with excellent visibility ( the rear head rests can be removed easily and replaced as needed), excellent fuel mileage when driven decently, excellent handling and acceleration for highway passing. Overall one of the best improvements by a manufacturer in the economy/4cyl class - hope it holds true to my experiences so far ... knock on wood!

I got my Mazda SP after spending months researching and test driving sport sedans from EVERY other manufacturer. I was very meticulous and demanding. I then knew exactly what I wanted: a charcoal Mazda3 S manual. It took me weeks to find and was floored when I did. Great car! Transmission is superior to all others that I drove. The interior is designed very well; you can tell a great deal of thought went into every detail on this car. This car feels as though it should be 2-3 times more expensive than it is. I dont ever feel that I have to drive somewhere, I GET to drive somewhere! Ive had it for awhile and still love it.Its done great both in the hot summer and on snowy mountain passes.

  • Love it, love it, love it! - 2005 Mazda Mazda3

In 25 years of car owning, this is by far the most fun car I have ever owned. After nearly two years of ownership, I still cannot believe I paid well less than $20k for a car that drives like a sports car. Acceleration is great, its comfortable and quiet on my daily 45-minute combined city and highway commute (on which I average 29 MPG). I would buy this car over again in a minute. Previous cars: Two Accords, a Golf, and Rabbit.

After two years and 39k miles, I still enjoy jumping in this car for a trip to the store or a 1500 mile road trip. Its comfortable, fun to drive, and packs more utility than every small SUV Ive looked at. I cant see myself trading it for anything else anytime soon. For the detail oriented: mileage: 27.4 mpg over 39k miles of Atlanta traffic. Things hauled: 1 fully assembled grill, a stack of 2"x4"x8 lumber with room for 2 passengers, two 40"x48" pallets, 1 dresser w/ 1 bookshelf, 1 cubic yard of bark mulch (in 3cu.ft. bags) and 5 adults (1 not terribly happy). All items were hauled separately, but with all doors, hatches and windows closed. Out of room, but I love this car.

Ive owned the car for ten months, so far a pleasant experience. Great value for the money. Definitely a set of snow tires in the winter solves any traction problems. This car is fun to drive.
