  • Great Little Car - 2007 Mazda CX-7

A few days after I purchased the car a huge storm hit the Northwest and I had a wedding to go to in the Mountains. I felt safe driving it from the start and never at any time had trouble with traction. I love the heated leather seats. I drove 300 hundred miles with four other people and their luggage with no problems. Most of the driving was on snow covered roads. Its maneuverable, quick and yes fun to drive even for an old guy. Ive never really been into cars except for transportation and utility. I just hope I feel the same way about it after I own it for a longer period of time.

My wife wanted a car that was higher off the ground then her 03 Honda Accord coupe and more room. She wanted an 05 Lexus RX 330. I suggested she test drive the 07 CX-7 also. She liked it so much, she bought it that day. She loves it and even I have been seen driving it to the golf course. Its a kick!

Drives very well with a definite sporty feel. Like the turbo surge. Very comfortable. Gas mileage has been between 19 and 23 in the city which isnt bad.

  • Cant stop looking at it! - 2007 Mazda CX-7

Okay, I admit that styling was the #1 reason I bought my CX-7. There is simply nothing else like it on the road. It also has sufficient pep, but handling is really its strong suit, dynamically. Its like an RX-8 on stilts. Im a bit worried that its not the frugal runabout I thought it was when it comes to mileage, but then again, Im only working on my third tank of gas. Overall, if it lives up to the typical Japanese build-quality expectations, Ill be ecstatic. If you have to do it all with one stylish car, this is it.

Bought a front wheel drive Touring in July 2006 and traded up to GT in January. Better dash lights and heated side mirrors plus red over platinum were two of the deciding factors. First one was great. Averaged 26 mpg on 1700 mile trip. Fun to drive, looks great. Turbo lag very small, you can get used to it and learn to drive. No fear of merging into freeway traffic. I am 6 4 and wife is 52", could use the CX-9 drivers memory seat for us. Put 9000 miles on the first one in 7 months.

  • Fun car Zoom-Zoom - 2007 Mazda CX-7

Traded in my 03 Expedition for the CX 7. I was impressed with the zippy handling and overall performance of the CX. I was looking at several cross overs and smaller SUVs but the Touring edition had what I was looking for. I was surprised at the way the turbo 4 cyl handled with 4 people. I was expecting it to bog down with the extra weight but it certainly didnt. It has the room for everything I need it for including the towing package I needed for a small trailer and a future boat. Gas mileage from my first tank full was a respectful 17.5. I expect that to increase since I didnt drive very conservatively, wanting to see what she would do on different road types.

  • Turbo power! Excellent! Zoom Zoom! - 2007 Mazda CX-7

My favorite feature is the turbo engine. Accelerating on the entrance ramp to merge onto the highway or turning the corner into traffic comes with such ease, and I feel like I barely have to hit the gas. This is something I grew so tired of with previous cars I owned...hitting the gas and feeling like I am going nowhere, and never going to get there. Passing semis and slow moving traffic is just so easy because once again I feel like I just zoom right past them. I guess it depends what youre used to, but the V4 turbo power blows away V6 engines I have driven previously. Additionally, this car handles well, and the height you drive at is great. I feel safe and in control. So much fun to drive!

  • We love our Zoom-Zoom - 2007 Mazda CX-7

Fast - Fun - Wow! We searched for months and months to find the right vehicle and the CX-7 won. I use it to commute in and I must admit that Ive never enjoyed going to work as much. An added benefit is that my husband and I equally love the car. We added the Homelink mirror which has our garage doors programmed in and exterior lights.

  • Wow I finally love my car - 2007 Mazda CX-7

Ive had this car 3 months and love it! I researched/test drove too many to list. But once I drove this one, that was it. Great brakes, maybe too touchy, really fun to drive. I went for the low end because of money and really do not miss much. Yes there is lag in turbo, figured out if I get the rpms up I can control the acceleration. I leased this and will probably end up buying it or 2009 model. Best car Ive ever owned. Went from F-150/Expedition to CX-7 without any issues. Ford can keep their vehicles.
