    1. Turbo replacement at 65K miles....$3400 2. FIRST VVT replacement at 72K miles....$1600 3. SECOND VVT replacement at 90K miles....$1200 (got only the part...$450...as "goodwill"...yeah me!) 4. Transmission replacement at about 100K miles....$4000+ ....getting a letter from Mazda in the mail that "extends the warranty" on the VVT...thinking I may be able to recoup ~$3000, only to find that the extension was only to 70K miles.....PRICELESS!!!! Does anyone else find it odd that these warranties expire JUST before something MAJOR happens? Someone is getting "ZOOM ZOOMd" alright!!

  • Mazdas CX-7: The coolest CUV - 2007 Mazda CX-7

Weve just finished our lease of a 2007 CX-7, and had a very positive experience overall. Ours was an early-build 07, so we had quite a few TSB service visits at first: reprogram the TCM for highway surging, reprogram the ECM for slow speed throttle response (as delivered, a little "gas" did little, then a little more lit a rocket), install new, better protecting door seals, and finally a new A/C control head unit to prevent condenser freeze-up in very hot weather. Since then? Nada. Its been bulletproof, fun to drive, and still so "cool" to look at; *great* styling for this class. Fitting real snow tires in the winter made it unstoppable, and we had it cross-country many times.

Just wanted to tell everyone we were considering a Lexus SUV when we saw a commercial on the Mazda CX-7. We called the local Mazda dealership and made arrangements to test drive a Touring package. We took it home that same day! We love the style, ride, comfort and price! Recommend it to everyone.

We brought this car in March of 2009 and it had 15,800 miles and it was great at first we drove it to TN and back to Va the whole trip we put regular gas in the car not knowing it took premium gas. After putting 1500 miles on the car the check engine light came on. So we took the car into the dealership to have it looked at and they said the fuel sensor had went bad so they fixed it under the warranty. After that we didnt have to many issues with the car other than the gas mileage stinks and premium gas burns a hole in your pocket. So just a week ago we went and traded it in for a brand new 2010 Mazda 6 i touring plus which is great and takes regular gas which is great love the new 6 alot more

  • Awesome CX-7 AWD Turbo Charged 4-Cylinder - 2007 Mazda CX-7

We purchased this vehicle for my wife and it has exceeded our expectations from the get go. Everything about this vehicle is fantastic. We purchased the 2007 Grand Touring AWD. Color: Copper Red Mica. The only item that my wife didnt want was the Navigation System. I own a business and I am thinking about purchasing another one for myself (except with the navigation system). The Navigation System has a camera mounted at the rear and when you put the vehicle in "Reverse" the camera comes on and shows up on the Navigation Screen (very nice idea, especially if you have small children). I would suggest that you go out to your local dealer and test drive one, you will be hooked right away!

  • Poor in the elements - 2007 Mazda CX-7

Purchased with 6400 miles, turbo model with all upgrades, interior should have full leather, road noise from tires is horrible, tires wear very prematurely, poor in snow, wind noise with 1 window open, dash is chintzy, front window needs tint, gas mileage is not as advertised, traction control is useless. Trade value poor also, this is my third Mazda, (my past Miata and Mazda 6 are much better cars).

  • I LOVE IT - 2007 Mazda CX-7

We love our new CX-7. We had been shopping for about three months and we thought we had decided on a Murano, when we saw the CX-7 at the auto show. We decided to wait and drive one before we made our purchase. We love the way it handles and the gas mileage is better than we what have read about the Nissan. It is very "zippy" and I have NEVER heard a sound system in a car that was like the Bose sound system this thing has. The color we bought is Pearl White and we have the Technology Package. We will probably get another one when my husbands lease is up on his Lexus in August. What a great vehicle.

  • Great Little Whip - 2007 Mazda CX-7

I took delivery only two weeks ago, so this review may be a bit premature. But Im really happy with the car so far. I test drove all the vehicles in its class before deciding on the CX-7. Its clearly designed to take on the Nissan Murano and does so with panache. Im a big Nissan fan (my other car is a Maxima and the CX-7 replaced a Pathfinder). I was impressed with how the CX-7 stacked up against the Murano in every possible way--for several thousand dollars less on a comparably equipped car. The CX-7 lives up to its "zoom zoom" billing.

  • Dead Engine - 2007 Mazda CX-7

Turbo malfunction, metal shards in engine total engine failure. Found out Jasper wont even rebuild them!

  • Replaced My Mazda RX-8 - 2007 Mazda CX-7

Great handling and excellent merging of the 6 speed tranny with the turbo 4 engine. My only complaint - would like a memory power drivers seat that would allow for two different drivers by pushing one button. Manual shifting works well but I miss the paddle shifters on my RX-8.
