This Year's Model Updates:

Lincoln changes the name of the Aviator's high-line trim level from Premium to Ultimate. More substantive improvements include the addition of Roll Stability Control to the optional AdvanceTrac stability system to ward off rollover incidents during panic maneuvers. The previously optional tire-pressure monitoring system is now standard. Additionally, dealer-installed Sirius Satellite Radio is available on Ultimate and Luxury models equipped with the optional Audiophile stereo.

Pros:
Cons:
  • Interior lacks the rock solid build quality of equivalently priced luxury SUVs, engine noise intrusive at high rpm.

  • Great SUV --after a slow start - 2004 Lincoln Aviator

We bought this car last September. Had trouble initially with the fit and finish -- many of the panels were not installed very well, resulting in a disturbing squeak from the rear lift glass. The dealership was great however, and now my car is perfect. We just drove it over the mountains in the snow and loved every minute. Very quiet, very comfortable, very powerful, and most important--very safe. Even my wife felt comfortable driving it in a snow storm--and she really hates driving in the snow. Great performance on the highway, and a snap to maneuver downtown with the boosted power steering. It handles like a much smaller vehicle.

I love my new Aviator. Picked it up a week or two ago and its been great. I love the navigation system because it offers so many features. I got the Ultimate Series because I liked the name. LOL!! I think this vehicle is wonderful. The seating is superb unlike the Explorer!!

the dealer said once I drive it it would be hard to go back, I owned two escape before going to the aviator, he was right, I liked it from the git go, still fun to drive, no plan on getting rid of it even if its a discontinued model, one of the side curtain sensors failed fully covered, otherwise no problems, would I buy it again you bet.
