The Sorento is an all-new SUV from Kia. Larger and more powerful than the pint-size Sportage (which is expected to return for 2004 after a 2003 hiatus, by the way), the Sorento straddles the emerging middle ground between small SUVs and midsize SUVs. And it does so while offering interested buyers true off-road ability. Key competitors are the Ford Escape, the Honda CR-V, the Jeep Liberty, the Nissan Xterra and the Toyota Highlander.

  After test driving the Sorento I left the dealership with a huge smile on my face. Thinking it was too good to be true, I test drove every other SUV in its class. I kept going back to the Sorento so I bought one! I love it! You cant and wont find a better vehicle with all the bells and whistles at this price! I even liked it over the Honda Pilot!!! A test drive is all you will need!

  Im a very new Sorento owner, but so far a very happy owner! I researched all types of SUVs before choosing the Sorento. For the low cost and looks of this vehicle, there is nothing on the market comparable! Im sad to admit that I actually look forward to waking up and driving to work, just so I can drive it! Now thats sad!! What a fun and beautiful SUV!!

  Hello everybody, this is a review from the Netherlands. I drove 2 Nissan Patrols for the last years and looked for something more comfortable with a nice price. This car has everything in it and i am very happy with it! It is fun to drive and people like the car because it looks good.

  When I first looked at the Sorento I was impressed. After two months of looking around, Icould not find anything better. But a KIA? After owning the Sorento now for almost two months. All I can say is: If you want a GREAT SUV get to KIA and buy one!!

  I am very impressed an satisfied so far with my SORENTO.The power of this vehicle is very impressive for its weight. I have no trouble jumping on the highway,passing vehicles or just flat out wanting to get it up to 100 mph. YES 100 MPH +. I FELL IT LACKS NO POWER. I am only getting 18 mpg. on the highway. But I do drive pretty fast.60 to 70 MPH.So I guess the V-6 does like to drink heavily.The ride is very good for a truck frame body.The suspension is great.Porsche did a great job working with KIA.What a Great Vehicle.As far as reliability I only have 1000 miles on it. So far no problems of any kind.

  Well I went and test drove just about everything in the 20k to 30k price range then I went to Kia. I was shocked I had never seen a Sorento, They looked great but then I drove it and WOW. Kia has made a believer out of me; I got the EX with everything except 4x4 and love it. All the other SUVs could not even come close, The Kia is a joy to drive and with all that leather and a nice 10 speaker sound I have to fight with my wife to drive it. It is by far the best bang for the buck and with their warranty you won’t have anything to worry about for a Long time. So do yourself a favor and go drive a Sorento.

  this suv has been tons of fun off road and on road it is classy but manly the options are far more than expected in a suv that you can buy for less than 25k greatttttttttttttt suv.

  Bargain Luxury and Style - 2003 Kia Sorento

  What began as a search for a luxury vehicle including such names as Lexus and Acura, quickly led us to a little known bargain of the Kia Sorento. The looks are comparable to the big two aforementioned, while the price wasnt half of equally aged vehicles. The 2003 Sorento EX is the "upscale" model. Our includes leather, tow, Harman Kardon sound, power everything, sunroof, etc. We got ours with slightly higher mileage for just under $12K. We did however opt for the additional extended warranty. The vehicle rides extremely smooth compared to the Jeep Grand Cherokee we traded in. The luxury appointments are very well suited for a small suv class vehicle. All in all a bargain for the price and year

  nice surprise - 2003 Kia Sorento

  I have had the Sorento for 7 mos and have put 12,100 miles on it, Have taken to long trips, first was 1000 miles r/t the second was 3,900 miles r/t this was from Florida to Canada and many places inbetween. The ride was great and very comfortable, gas milage varied from 19 MPG to 24 MPG (this was at 60 miles per hour in Canada. 2 Adults and 2 children with luggage for a 2 wk vacation and still had enough room, neaver got tired driving and have had no problems whatsoever. The dealer service dept has been excellent with the 2 oil chng and servicing I have had.
