This Year's Model Updates:

Minor upgrades are in store for the Sedona in its second year on the market. On the outside, buyers will find new taillights, and in the cabin, you'll note a new audio faceplate and a remote fuel-door release. The LX model gets a CD player, while the EX now comes with two keyless remotes, as well as additional leather on the armrests and lower portions of the seats. A trailer hitch is now available for all Sedonas.

Pros:
  • Excellent value, lots of cupholders and storage bins, solid build quality, good crash test scores, lengthy warranty coverage.
Cons:
  • Hefty curb weight, below-average gas mileage, missing a few key minivan features, potentially expensive to repair in minor collisions.

Fun to drive, Easy to park, the view is outstanding, radio/cassette/cd very nice, leather seats and 6 captain seats, plenty of room on the inside, sun roof is a plus. All controls are easy to get to and read. Cruise in steering wheel.

I have owned and driven hundreds of vehicles in 35 years of driving. I presently own a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado [150,000 miles], a Ford Taurus [100,000 miles], a Jeep Wrangler [80,000 mi, an XKE Jag [60,000 miles] and a 66 Austin Healey [57,000 miles]. This is the 1st vehicle that I have driven 20,000 miles without a single problem of any kind. The Chevrolet pickup was built like a tinker toy while the Sedona was built "like a rock." We have not had to return to the dealer for anything. I am so thrilled with the reliability of this vehicle that I am going to buy a Sorento this year. Chevrolet and Ford have a lot to learn from Kia.

Friend suggested looking at Kias. The wife and I went out on a Saturday to test drive only. We were so impressed, we bought. It was my first time to buy a new vehicle. I am very skeptical and was totally against buying a "new" vehicle (to much to pay). But I could not believe the bang for the buck with the Sedona. I was impressed with the feel of the drive, very solid yet comfortable. Dealer said Kia is trying to get into the market. Well - Im sold.

My mom loves the van to death, first she had a chrysler town and country that was a 1999 she paid more for that van than she did for the sedona. The ride, performance and also the longgevity of the vehicle is going to be much greater. The reason I say that because My mom had the chrysler van for 1 year and the trans went out. Then again about 30,000 miles later thats when she decided to trade that thing in on a sedona van. No problems what so ever and she is 100% satisfied about the van. Knowing that the van is 5 Star rated even makes it more fun to drive.

Only had it a few weeks, but so far its a great vehicle and its fun to drive. Great price, nice rebate, good looks, crash test leader...Only negative is the poor gas mileage, when the sticker says 15 town 18 highway thats what it means! No more no less!

My wife and I bought the Sedona EX, loaded, about a month ago. So far, we love the van. We researched mini vans for approximately four weeks, looking at most models. Our final three were Honda, Kia and Chevy (due to supplier discount). We ultimately decided on the Kia because of options included at a reasonable price, the great exterior look with the two-tone paint, the safety rating and the warranty. Other than the lack of gas milage, we think the van is great so far. The Sedona is about as sporty as a mini van can get with the two-tone paint and the rear spoiler.

I was recently widowed when I purchased my Kia Sedona. I wanted leather and a great AC---for FL lifestyle. I haul grandchildren, crafts, and travel out of state frequently. Reliable, attractive vehicle. Purchasing it was a very good decision.
