Overview & Reviews
Debuting this year as Isuzu's fifth sport-ute model, the Axiom attempts to blend the rugged nature of a sport-utility with the style and driving dynamics of a sedan. It features a retuned version of the Trooper's 3.5-liter V6, Isuzu's Torque On Demand (TOD) four-wheel-drive system, an Integrated Monitor System (IMS) that controls both the climate control and audio systems and a trick trip computer synchronized with the U.S. Atomic clock.
- Strong V6, distinctive styling, unique features.
- Limited drivetrain choices, old tech underpinnings.

My Review - 2002 Isuzu Axiom
By donster - September 20 - 10:00 amEvery week someone in a parking lot will come up to me and ask me about this car. I used to own Saabs just because they were unique. Now that the family is a little larger, I was looking for an SUV. The Axiom is unique in its styling both inside and out.

By Endewardt - May 19 - 2:00 amI bought my Axiom w/h mixed feelings. There are a lot of choices in this Price range. I liked the looks and styling. I do not regret buying this car. Its a lot of fun to drive and it moves - quick - . My friend bought a Ford Explorer at the same time and has been back for repairs twice already. Yes, It was a good choice. By jorge - June 1 - 2:00 amthis is my first SUV and I really enjoy it. We bought the XS package and we feel extreme privilidge to own a car like this!! We were looking for a SUV as the Saturn or Rodeo but did not realize that we could get an Axiom for a little bit more with soooo many extras!! ITs AWESOME!

Great Vehicle at a Resonable Price - 2002 Isuzu Axiom
By lanetk - March 31 - 2:00 amGood Buying experience at the dealer, just watch out for the "add ons" they try to slip in. I compared with the Nissan Pathfinder, Toyota Highlander, and others and this was by far the best value. Factory incentives of $3000 really helped.

Cant beat it for your money! - 2002 Isuzu Axiom
By Neil Boden - February 15 - 2:00 amMy fiance and I went into looking for an SUV with the Jeep Grand Cherokee in mind. We live in MN and need something for the weather we get. We test drove the Jeep and a couple others (explorer, liberty, Xterra, Axiom) for comparison. Although we liked the Grand Cherokee and Xterra (we hated the liberty and exploder) the Axiom was perfect!

Great Vehicle - 2002 Isuzu Axiom
By D.Parker - December 30 - 10:00 amThis XS model is fantastic. It has every bell and whistle included as standard equipment you have to pay extra for with the Toyota, Mercury and Ford we also considered purchasing. This unit is more powerful than the Explorer V-8!

Good so far - 2002 Isuzu Axiom
By Pitt - August 30 - 1:10 pmI bought the Axiom pre-owned and at 73,000+ miles it seems to be a good buy as SUVs go. I havent had any complaints that the factory could have addressed with the exception of the sound system. Getting the base model I didnt expect much but the speakers are pretty dull. I have read reviews about the tires as well and mine looked to be a fresh set, but they do squeal with most maneuvering action that didnt get the squeal from my last car.

Great car! - 2002 Isuzu Axiom
By Shayne Brandon - July 31 - 2:00 amI was wanting to replace my 97 Toyota Camry LS with a similar car. I was looking for comfort and a nice ride. After looking at Honda and Nissan vehicles with a price tag that was way too high, I found the Axiom. Since the Axiom replaced my Camry, I look at it and use it like a car. We have a pickup for most hauling. As a car, its the best Ive ever driven. Spacious, smooth, and quietier than most midsize cars, its a bargain coming in about $5000 less - and its AWD!
