This Year's Model Updates:

The year 2007 is a mixed one for the Infiniti G35. The coupe remains unchanged, but the sedan has been completely redesigned. Highlights for the sedan include a stiffer body structure, revised chassis tuning for better handling, a more powerful V6 engine and evolutionary styling.

Pros:
  • Potent and smooth V6 engine, impressive handling and braking abilities, roomy cabin, attractive price.
Cons:
  • Stiff ride on sport-suspension-equipped models, lack of trunk space in coupe, artificial steering feel when pushed through quick transitions.

  • Needs one extra cog - 2007 Infiniti G35

Really there isnt too much to complain about this vehicle. Absolutely bulletproof reliability. Peppy motor combined with an above class grade interior. The wood is beautiful. The gauges and LED accent lights reflect a designers touch. The car truly needs one more gear though which I believe Infiniti subtlety acknowledged by engaging the transmission in the 08 model. Ive driven both cars and prefer the 08 for this change alone. Aside from the mileage, which is frankly poor (I average 18mpg), and the need for an extra gear, the engine does have to rev to make you feel like you are driving a true sport sedan. Furthermore, the trunk space is limited by the CD changer. In sum, super car.

After driving an 02 BMW530, looked at several 07s. After 2 months my thoughts are these: Bad Fuel Econ. 13.5 city (my 530I got 17), 19 hwy. Fun to drive, great handling in the snow. Sound sys. is great, Bluetooth sync. up without any problems. Love to drive the car - great off the line pickup. Good sized trunk for the golf clubs.

Have the car now two weeks, and I am enjoying the car very much. The G, I bought with AWD, (Base car is rear wheel drive), because of the winters in the Northeast and road conditions I felt was a necessity. The car is exceptionally fast and responsive, handles the road like a sports car (Miata) Must be the suspension and tire combo (17"). I think the redesign of the exterior really makes the car stunning in appearance. The interior, mine is black with the chrome, looks sporty yet elegant. I really like the way the dash is designed. Overall, very pleased.

Was back and forth between Acura TL-S and Infiniti G35 and am so glad I went Infiniti. So much power, love the rear wheel drive, features galore and probably got a better deal than I would have on an Acura. Navigation is great, real time XM traffic will change the way you drive and the built in hard drive is a killer feature. The new styling and revamped interior really make the G35 standout among the competition. Its also nice to pull up next to Audi A4 owners and blow them off the line! Such a fun car, I still cant wait to get in and take off every day.

  • Decent - 2007 Infiniti G35

An overall decent car but not without faults. A bit too eager to jump/speed which is a bit awkward because of the not so smooth transmission. Fuel economy is horrible and Infinity needs to work on this. The upgraded stereo could be better. The nav system is probably the best and it is very simple to use. The sitting is quite comfortable but the trunk has a small opening. Overall it is an enjoyable car to drive, yet it does leave something to be desired if you compared to a Mercedes or a BMW

  • Japanese for BMW - 2007 Infiniti G35

Very happy so far with my new G35. Decided on a Journey model with Premium package and Performance wheel upgrades - concerned about the "firm ride" reviews from Sport model drivers. I traded in my Lexus coupe for a more practical sedan that could fit more than two passengers and was still fun to drive. I previously drove a BMW coupe and was unimpressed by multiple minor problems though thought it was fun to drive. I basically limited my choices to the Lexus IS 350 and the Infiniti G35, and it was a close call. Lexus is more refined and reliable (based on experience), but the Infiniti was more fun to drive and thousands less, so I figured Id give it chance. Happy so far!

  • Almost perfect - 2007 Infiniti G35

Upgraded from an old Acura CL recently and purchased a used 07 G35 Sport 6MT. The power of the engine and RWD really make a difference. I am never going back to FWD. Although I originally was shopping for a coupe, I really like the sedan better. Performance and handling are great and still have room for the kids in the back. Lots of space and high end materials inside. Excellent Bose stereo. The nav works great too.

  • Good car for the $$$ - 2007 Infiniti G35

This car is worth the money just in the horsepower alone. The gas mileage is not as bad as most say. I have been averaging over 20 mpg (approx 22 mpg) switching between premium and regular unleaded gas every other tank (keeps costs down). Great car!!

  • Very disappointed - 2007 Infiniti G35

Horrified by the poor tire wear! At 19,000 miles, my tires were completely bald. Infiniti says they normally replace them around 12-15K! Now I am at 24K, and the front insides are torn up and need to be replaced. Thats right... only 5,000 miles on the tires. Said it was the alignment. I will be looking to trade this car in within the year. I cant afford to replaces tires twice a year, especially at the price our tires are!

  • Fun with a Cost - 2007 Infiniti G35
    By -

The G35 coupe is a very exciting drive, especially when using the tiptronic; however, the costs of maintenance are high. Fuel efficiency is low, tire efficiency is very low requiring a new set every 13,000 - 18,000 miles due to offset wheel size, break efficiency is low - again due to the offset wheel size. Ive had my 07 for a little over a year and Ive had the A/C motor replaced 3 times (Phoenix resident), the driver-side window motor replaced, the shocks replaced, and many dealer problems. I love the car overall, just a bit expensive for upkeep. I attribute most of the problems Ive had to the dealership... absolute nightmare that will prevent me from buying another Infiniti.
