This Year's Model Updates:

The sedan receives exterior styling revisions with a new hood, grille, bumpers, side sills, taillights and wheels. Sedans now make as much power as the coupes -- 280 hp (up from 260) and 270 lb-ft of torque (also up from 260) on models with an automatic transmission. Coupes and sedans equipped with a manual transmission get even more power (298 hp) but sacrifice 10 lb-ft of torque. Sedans with the sport suspension package also pick up 18-inch wheels and drilled aluminum pedals. All G35s get a redesigned instrument panel and console area with aluminum or wood trim, and the manual transmission has been improved to provide a lower shifting effort. A Sport version of the coupe debuts this year and includes an even firmer suspension, a limited-slip differential, 19-inch forged alloy wheels and drilled aluminum pedals. Oddly, though, Brembo brakes are no longer available on manual-shift coupes.

Pros:
  • Powerful V6, balanced and capable handling, roomy cabin, reasonable price.
Cons:
  • Average interior materials quality, touchy brakes.

This 2005 G35 is absolutely beautiful and fast. I use it daily to commute and I also drive it every chance I get. I got the sport and the aero package with ivory white (ext) and wheat (int). The car is extremely classy and an ultimate threat to anything in its class. The thing I like the best is that every Tom, Dick, and Harry doesnt have this car, unlike the BMW 3 series. A woman pulled up to me in a C-Class and told me that she was on her way to Infiniti to trade it in for a G after driving behind me for about 5 miles. If you like your own identity Get A G35, you will not regret it.

  • Better than my 325i - 2005 Infiniti G35

I had once thought that my 325i coupe that I bought in Germany was the greatest car ever. 140 mph on the autobahn without the slightest groaning. My G35 coupe makes my beemer feel like a go kart. I love the german cars but Nissan has just surpassed the benchmark in the sport coupe market. The M3 is faster and handles better, but you can buy 2 G35s for the price of 1 M3. That makes the G35 the best value for the dollar.

  • My Second G35 But Loaded - 2005 Infiniti G35

We had a 2003 in 12-02 and traded it in for a 2005 Coupe because their were more and you could get a little better Price. I wanted the Sport-Suspension pkg and worth every penny. Premium pkg. Aero pkg. The splash guards look great. and it seems all of them come with the trunk carpet. I do miss the 12-volt socket on the 03 that was left of the glove box on the outside. I liked the seats when you let the back seat passenger out and you put the seat back up the seat would go back to its original place. The 05 does not do that. We do not know if everyone knows this but this car is one of the safest cars on the road the roof is like a cage it is unbelievable I have first Hand Knowledge.

  • noisey in Seattle - 2005 Infiniti G35

Lots of fun to drive on smooth roads. Road noise is awful, like driving a drum. Styling is fantanstic. Acceleration not much better than my acura legend coupe. Surprisingly good on ice.

  • G35x - Close to perfect - 2005 Infiniti G35

This car with a few tweaks could be the top sports sedan, some changes have been made in the 05 model such as interior materials. Overall great value and the best of both worlds with the AWD option that still offers excellent performance. Great car to avoid front wheel drive cars that have 250+HP and resulting torque steer.

  • **Update** one month in! - 2005 Infiniti G35

This car gets better the longer you are with it! Operating the navigation system is a snap and RWD/AWD is a blast to drive! This car hauls around turns and the engine has power to spare so you never have to floor it (unless you want to :D)! The seats are super comfortable, heated seats work very well and interior is durable. Ive dropped my phone, pens and books on the center console and dash area and it still looks flawless. The ride is a lot better once you get used to it but is far from punishing. The BOSE sound system can definitely hold its own. No regrets about picking the G35x over TL and ES330. Ultra reliable car, still no problems. Noise in last review was paper clip in cup holder!

  • Has been great for 2 years now - 2005 Infiniti G35

I have owned this vehicle for over 2 years now and have had mo major problems. The interior has some rattles that can be annoying, but the dealer will fix them. The Bose stereo is garbage and the stereo display is minimal. One from the 1980s displays more information. My G35 just hit 28000 miles and I just now replaced the front tires. Rear tires are still original and are doing well. The throttle response is a bit slow and not immediate when you step on it. It works better to have a slow and steady foot on the pedal. Other that that it is fun to drive every day. Mileage stinks but I expect that for a car like this. I didnt buy it thinking I would save at the pump.

  • Hate to go to Iraq - 2005 Infiniti G35
    By -

Planned to buy a mustang, till I saw this vehicle. Fun to test drive with the choice of driving in Manual or Automatic (rev is only auto). 0-60 is fast and it redlines at 6400rpm. Have had the vehicle to 130mph and they say it is faster. I had only driven it about 1100 miles before I went to Iraq, but my only complaint is that it does not like to go slow. It seems to have too high of rpms in "city" driving. Very fast pick-up and excellent mpg for this type of car. I averaged 21 mpg (and that was with a lot of playing around). The Bose system is a must. Corners very well, and the seats seem to hold you in place. Safety wise there are airbags everywhere. Overall a GREAT car for the money!!
