  • dont buy it - 2002 Hyundai XG350

I purchased my Hyundai after looking over lots of cars as it seemed the best buy for the money. I WAS SO WRONG! You DO get what you pay for and I got a good looking but cheaply made car. "Drive by wire" accelerator is horrible; bogs and lunges despite reprogram. Transmission has been replaced 4 times. Brakes warped twice and they only cover them once so second time you pay. Battery failed after 2 years and you pay for it - not warranty. Horrible vibration that they couldnt fix until I showed them the TSB to fix it. Clunking noise in front end they couldnt fix until, again, I showed them the TSB to fix. Lots of other problems too numerous to list here. DONT BUY THIS CAR!!!

Bought a 2002 XG350L with 32,000 miles on it nine and a half months ago. In that time Ive put around 19,000 miles on it. Only problem Ive had was a headlight that needed replacing, and that was covered under warranty.

  • Great car, expensive to maintain - 2005 Hyundai XG350

I agree with Aaron. The parts are foreign and arent always in stock. No problem with the transmission for me though. There is a glitch with the heating and a/c blower, it wont shut off. The problem has been noted and all you have to do is replace a blower motor resistor (located above and behind the glove compartment). The timing belt is a bit costly, $900, but its cheaper than buying a new car. The tires are a bit fancy and expensive to replace as you only get to choose from a couple options. Its a great car, ride is smooth and quiet. Love all of the options that come with the car, too. It is rich.

  • Experience with the Hyundi XG350L - 2004 Hyundai XG350

When reading the so called experts review of the XG350 I wondered if they tested the same automobile I was driving. I based by decesion to try the XG350 on the opinions of other owners. Once I drove the vehicle I was hooked.

Ive had the vehicle for 16 months and put 54,000 miles on it. Ive had no problems to speak of. Battery died at 15.5 months but it was covered under warrentee. Have to say I take it back to the dealer every 3,000 and did complete overhaul at 30,000. Id buy one again tomorrow and will in 20 months. Dont tell anyone so the price doesnt go up!

  • A Winning Motorcar - 2004 Hyundai XG350

My 350L is the best motorcar I have ever owned. The ride, stylig and quality are what sold me on it. My neighbors and friends all say I have a luxury sedan. I tell them (including my wife) that it isnt listed as one. But! It should be reclassified as such with the Luxus, BMW and Infinity lines.

  • Very Underrated Automobile - 2004 Hyundai XG350

I was looking for a reasonable pre-owned car after losing my company car. After reading Consumer Reports, this one seemed a decent bet. Picked it up dirt cheap ($10,750) with 30k miles. Overall, it has been very solid. Not quite to level of Honda and Toyota quality, but not too far off. Handling is decent. Looks (interior and exterior) like a much more expensive car. Issues: (1) Speakers suck. I replaced fronts with Pioneer 2 way($50 Walmart) and sound greatly improved. (2) Drive by wire throttle is touchy. Drive easy for awhile and it will calm down plus you will get used to the hair trigger. (3) Gas mileage is fair for a car of this size (about 22 to 24). Overall, quite pleased.

  • A GREAT car! - 2005 Hyundai XG350

Awesome car! Beautiful interior, many friends say the exterior "looks like a Jag". The ride is incredibly smooth to the point that it feels like you are on air. A great buy. This car is such a treat to drive and own.

  • What a find! - 2002 Hyundai XG350

Hyundai is not a joke anymore! I was astonished while doing research for a new car that had many luxury car features without the luxury car price, that the Hyundai XG350L kept popping up. I had never even considered a Hyundai. One drive led to another & then a purchase. I am very pleased with this car. It is very quiet, has great pickup, is extremely comfortable, and has all the things you would expect in a luxury car except the high price tag.
