Overview & Reviews
Hyundai shuffles the Sonata's trim levels for the second year in a row, making the four-cylinder engine standard on all and the V6 optional across the board. The sporty Sonata SE gains performance tires, a rear spoiler and a power driver seat, while the upscale Limited receives an Infinity stereo as standard.
- Comfortable ride, quality interior materials, roomy backseat and trunk, standard stability control, lengthy warranty, impressive value.
- Subpar fuel economy with the V6, numb-feeling steering, automatic transmission fussy in manual mode.

A great car - 2008 Hyundai Sonata
By Ken - June 8 - 7:46 pmThis is my second Hyundai, my first being a 2004 Santa Fe. The Santa Fe gave me excellent service, never a problem in 4 1/2 years. I always loved the way that car handled and rode but the Sonata is even better. The mileage around town and short trips is staying around 26 - 27 MPG, pretty good for a car not broken in yet. Everything about the interior is well thought out and logically placed. Hyundai does a very good job in everything it does.

3rd sonata - 2008 Hyundai Sonata
By wx man - January 1 - 12:26 amThis is the 3rd new sonata I have owned. It drives very well, but has 2 small problems the dealer and factory havent helped. There is a vibration between 38-44 mph in town and the trunk comes unlocked about once a week on its own. All the Sonatas I have owned are generally great. This one gets 32 mpg at 75mph highway and 28 mpg in town. The 2007 got 25 in town and 35 highway. Everybody else is right, the cup holders stink! I recommend these cars to everyone.
