great buy - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By jgirl@aol.com - October 25 - 2:00 amWe were looking for an affordable SUV. We looked at Ford but every feature was more costly. The Santa Fe offered all the features we wanted as standard.

Great family SUV. - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Karaya - October 14 - 10:00 amMy wife wouldnt be caught dead driving a minivan, yet she doesnt need neither a real off-roader nor a gas-guzzling monster SUV for everyday driving around with a baby. And here comes Santa Fe. It has comfortable driving and roomy enough to take a family of 3 or 4 with their belongings for a long vacation trips, and it excellently handles snow / ice / rain in any combinations and quantities. We drove this car trough last winter in New Hampshire (with storms et al), and it passed the test with A+ grade.

Red Rocket Rocks - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Chris Sykes - September 19 - 10:00 amVery fun to drive, especially with the 3.5 liter engine. However, the gas pedal can be touchy. I inadvertently burn rubber on occasion when pulling into traffic while stopped. Handling is exceptional for an SUV. Much quieter and smoother ride than truck based SUVS. An excellent value for the money. Of course, has a great warranty to go with great price!

My white 2003 FWD LX - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Jayson - September 17 - 12:40 amI thought that after living with a car for 5 years since being purchased brand new it would be a good assessment of how it would perform day in and day out. In one word "excellent". The only things Ive done besides normal maintenance were to change the battery & the license plate lights! Even the BF Goodrich tires managed to hold up with tread left at 77,000 but I figure it was time to replace them with another set. I managed about 25mpg overall but admit not to being a fast driver. The only wear and tear was the paint for some reason coming off of all the 5 doorhandles. I would guess the paint is on the thin side. Would I do it all over again? Without a doubt, I love this car!

Great vehicle - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By keef - August 13 - 10:00 amI was skeptical when going to test drive about a newer SUV and its quality and sturdiness. It is a solid, tightly constructed vehicle. The Shiftronic trans is great and the 2.7 V6 is very economic, when you are talking about SUVs. It feels safe and has a great rating for safety. How many cars have side air bags standard? A lot of storage compartments and nice features. Drives like a car and has a small turning ratio to get in and out of tight spots.

More Than I Expected - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Shadow - July 1 - 10:00 amMy wife and I could not believe the number of options that were standard on our Santa Fe. The LX trim line really comes loaded to the point that you feel that you are in a luxury vehicle. Top that off with better than average performance and a very comfortable ride and you cant help but fall in love with the Santa Fe.

EXCELLENT SMALL SUV - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By ERIC C. - June 26 - 3:03 amThis truck has an unbelieveable ride, not bouncy like most SUVs.Very roomy for this class.Power is adequate for a small SUV. Decent gas mileage.I have had it for over a year and still no problems.Drive one before you buy anything else...then compare the prices and if you are smart you will probably pick the Hyundai.
