This Year's Model Updates:

The Hyundai Santa Fe has been redesigned for the 2007 model year. Compared to last year's model, the new Santa Fe is larger, safer, more powerful and more luxurious.

Pros:
  • Upscale interior with high-quality materials, competitive price, long warranty, many standard safety features, optional third-row seat.
Cons:
  • Overly firm ride on SE and Limited trims, automatic transmission sometimes slow to respond, unimpressive brakes.

  • We are IMPRESSED - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

The exterior design is eye-catching and attractive. The insrumentation is easy to learn and easy to read. The brakes feel good. All of the doors sound solid and secure when they are closed. It handles very nicely, and easier to park than our old Tahoe. Time will tell of the reliability.

  • Santa Fe, Best Choice by far for us. - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
    By -

Previously owned a Subaru Outback, then Mazda Tribute. Test drove Toyota RAV, Highlander, Honda Pilot and Mazda CX-7 and 9. The Santa Fe was by far the best vehicle for us and best value. Quiet comfortable cabin. Plenty of HP and smooth shifting. We were looking for a larger vehicle than the Tribute and though we would buy the Pilot but after comparing all, it was no contest, Santa Fe hands down. The size is right for us, the finish inside is outstanding with great controls, plenty of knee and leg room, firm but comfortable seats and a great driving position. Exterior styling has an "attitude." Getting 18 MPG around town and 23+ on a trip from Denver to Aspen and back.

  • Nice car - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

I really like it. Doing a lot of driving, find this car almost exactly what I need. Despite this is the basic model it has enough for every day extensive driving (sometimes 1000 Km a day). Extra hidden storage in the trunk is amazing! What was a nice surprise for me it ‘s a gas consumption! According to specifications vehicle with manual transmission consumes more gas then automatic. This is NOT TRUE! Manual is very economical and not just has more power, but takes LESS gas. I found the WORSE city driving (heavy traffic and ac constant use) 11L/100Km and 7.5L/100Km on Highway. Excellent on ice and snow and it is not an AWD. This the only SUV of this size and price range which is availa

  • Great mid size SUV - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

I was looking for a new SUV for my wife. We had a 2003 Honda CR-V EX that was great. We looked at the new CR-V and the Rav4. We then looked at the new Santa Fe. We really liked the exterior/interior design, V6 engine, interior space, ride, and price. The Santa Fe offers a lot more than the CR-V and the quality seems very good. Outside of the fuel difference between the 4 cyl CR-V and the 6 cyl Santa Fe, the Santa Fe is much better buy in my mind.

  • Great Surprise - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

I was hesitant when I considered a Hyundai. Research and friends who are Santa Fe owners alleviated my concern. I bought the GLS because cost figured in to my decision. I am not disappointed. This is a great SUV. It is all that I hoped it would be and more. After having owned Chrysler product minivans over the past 20 years, this GLS is a definite step up.It drives great, its fun, its comfortable. It looks great. My wife and i love it.

  • More then expected - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

I like the feel when you get in the vehicle and how quiet it is. When you start the vehicle its extremely quiet. I test drove the vehicle for 2 hours after I figured they ( the dealer ) knew I was serious about making a purchase. I took every kind of road in the area and it was smooth. The excelleration was exceptional, smooth, with no hesitation of problems with the trans. The stero has something to be improved upon I can only load 1 CD at a time. But the sound is just OK.

  • 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe 2WD - 2 Thumbs UP - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

I just purchasd a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe 2WD Limited on 11-20-2006. I was looking for the "lumbar support" feature, and soon realized that this the best value SUV for your money anywhere. With heated leather seats, Electronic Stabilization Control, superior interior/exterior styling, V6 fuel economy, 10YR/100,000 miles warranty, excellent CD audio system, do not bother to look anywhere else.

  • Six Month Report A Winner - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
    By -

We selected the Limited for the package creature comforts. I made my decision based on comfort for my 64" height. Have found the ride smooth yet agile, and braking response is excellent. Interior has good ergonomic display, the fit and finish is rich rivaling many upscale players in this market. We chose not to have third row seating, rather have the ample storge, including the hidden compartment in back. Selecting platinum sage paint with grey leather allows the vehicle to stay cooler in the heat of summer. Tinted rear glass helps for both security and interior temps. Observing an average 22-24 mpg we are pleased with the fuel economy. At six months one word: Awesome.

  • 16 months ownership - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
    By -

Bought the vehicle 16 months ago. Have 28K miles on vehicle. Its been as good a vehicle as I have owned. My buddy just bought a Limited, and another buddy bought a Sonata Limited, partly because of my good experience with the brand. Vehicle is quiet, warms up quickly, runs smoothly. Vehicles are expensive in Canada compared to U.S.
