  • After 80,000 mi. Its still like new - 2006 Hyundai Azera
    By -

I drive a lot, and at 6,4" it fits me great. I appreciate the power, standard features, and quality of the bodywork and paint. Im going to keep it until it falls apart, then get another one. After having a Toyota Avalon, and comparing both, I went with the azera. Dealer has been great.

  • Pleasantly surprised - 2006 Hyundai Azera
    By -

I test drove several competing vehicles before driving the Azera that I soon owned. The Azera has a great safety package, exceptional creature comforts, better handling than the Camry, excellent acceleration for those short freeway entrances, and is very quiet at posted highway speeds (and above). This roomy car was a great find and a pleasant surprise. I think the SE is a great value, especially with the 100,000 mile warranty! Put this one on your test drive list before you buy a Honda or a Toyota.

  • Still loving my Azera - 2006 Hyundai Azera

We have our Azera ltd for 2 months now and still get a thrill everytime we open the door and get in. The ride is so smooth, I worry I could fall asleep behind the wheel! We see so few on the road that when we do see one, it does not register immediately that the beautiful car in the next lane is the same one we are driving! Dont understand why Hyundai is not promoting it much. The only complaint we have is that the gas mileage is not great. But then again our last car, the Infiniti G35, was pretty poor on gas also. We have yet to take it on an extended trip where we can really get an accurate gas mileage measurement.

  • This Car is Great - 2006 Hyundai Azera

In the middle of a 5000 mile road trip. So far, from AZ desert to Yellowstone high country, to central Iowa. Car has not missed a beat, very comfortable for 10-12 hour days. Plenty of room for luggage. Gas mileage (which I complained about in my last review) has been unexpectedly good--between 25 and 30 mpg. I continue to believe the Azera is the best automotive value to be found, bar none.

  • Trip odometer resets - 2006 Hyundai Azera
    By -

Someone wrote a review about their 2009 Azera having problems with trip odometer resetting. Check the battery connections. Mine was slighly loose. Enough, however to cause this problem. Just came back on 700 mile trip running 70 mph with air & traffic. I got 28.4 mpg.

  • Overall Very Impressive - 2006 Hyundai Azera

Been driving for about 3 weeks now and Im very much impressed with the drive. I know that Hyundai does not have the image compared to Toyota or Honda but this Azera will change that image, a step closer to the Japanese cars.

  • Wow, Better than our Lexus - 2006 Hyundai Azera
    By -

I had been looking at a Lexus ES330 when a friend suggested I take a look at the Azera. I drove an Ultimate Package and was simply blown away. The only thing I liked better about the Lexus was the auto up and down feature for the rear windows. Past that, it truly doesnt hold up well against the Azera. I traded an 03 Lexus ES in on my black on black Azera. My husband is trading his Acura for a Steel Gray azera next month. Dealership experience as good as our (former) Lexus dealer. Hyundai has a happy buyer.

  • Great Car with a MAJOR safety flaw - 2006 Hyundai Azera
    By -

I purchased my Azera in mid-March after much research. The Azera is a quality car with features found in cars costing thousands more. However, recently released crash test results put the Azera below most sedans in several safety areas. This is very discouraging -- especially considering all of the saftey hype that surrounded this car. Another disappointment is fuel economy. I average about 20 mpg (70% city 30% highway). The performance is great. Superb ride and feel. Accleration and brakes are excellent. It is a very comfortable car with good handling. The exterior design is not breathtaking, but above average. The build quality appears great. Overall, very impressive.

  • More Power, Style & Safety for the Money - 2006 Hyundai Azera

After shopping 06 Volvo S40 and Toyota Camary/Avalon, my wife & I decided to view the Azera. We stopped at the dealer for a brochure & ended up testing one. By the end of the day we had traded in my wifes 2000 Sonata for the Azera. It has more horsepower than the S40 & Camary (as much as the Avalon) and more iterior/storage space than all three. With these features, the Azera was still $2K-$3K cheaper than the S40 & Avalon. Once we upgraded the bumper- to-bumper warranty to 10yr/100K mi, the others cant come close. These facts made choosing the Azera very easy. We look forward to driving the car for a long time. True, its not a sports sedan but well trade that for all we got! C 4 urslf!

  • Still a "WOW" - 2006 Hyundai Azera

This car has the quality, reliability and performance of a Lexus for thousands less. In 3 years, weve changed the oil and 1 light bulb. Thats it! It goes like stink (that might explain the gas mileage), does it quietly (allowing us to truly enjoy the cars great audio system) all the while feeling secure (even our son loves how the car handles). Incredible Bang for the Buck. 3 people have bought an Azera on our recommendation and love their car as much as we do. Hyundais Best Kept Secret.
