All that glitters is not gold!! - 2003 Honda Pilot
By seanyoun - April 29 - 10:00 amBe aware if you plan on purchasing this car. You will be forced to buy options at a very highly inflated rate (running boards 1k, fog lights $800, bumper garnish $900). I went into 3 dealerships and none of them would move an inch off the msrp. In fact, msrp was untouchable plus they make you purchase 2 or three options and by the time youre done haggling, you will most likely pay $35-36k if youre lucky. Other than that, the car itself is a nice ride overall. The only gripe is that the car is so plain looking.

After 1st week - 2003 Honda Pilot
By Sandherc - March 18 - 10:00 amThe Pilot is an attractive, versatile "suburban" SUV, geared for highway/city travel. It is larger than most in the mid-size class. It has a car-like turning radius & great pickup. Honda has added so many "little features", like shoulder straps for middle passengers, lots of cargo net hooks, hidden storage, 4 power outlets, 9 beverage holders, storage compartments everywhere. Have not yet tried 4WD feature. Have not travelled in rear seats.

Excellent vehicle overall - 2003 Honda Pilot
By roticanai - February 17 - 10:00 amThe Pilot has a great ride. Easy to drive with excellent visibility from the drivers seat. Had a minor setback when the a/c did not come on for about 2 minutes when turned on a couple of weeks ago. It eventually came on and weve had no other problems since.

Got the look but not the comfort - 2003 Honda Pilot
By Kaela - January 6 - 10:00 amIn my opinion, this vehicle dosent really hold up to the honda reputation. It is a "gas hog" to say the least. It has poor gas mileage, especially when using the air- conditioner. The leather interior has a sleek style but quite a stiff feel to it. The backseats are most uncomfortable on long trips. On a positive note, it handles real well and rides nice. I like the exterior design. Overall, it has the look of a luxury SUV but not the comfort. I give it an OK in its SUV class.

Good truck if not for leather problems - 2003 Honda Pilot
By Bill101 - December 30 - 10:00 amEverything is so great. But I made a big mistake paying extra $1200 for leather option. Leather seats sag badly because of lack of cusion support. Worst thing - Honda wouldnt admit it. Driver seat sagged so badly that leather has bended and developed some cracks. There are also some white threads coming from the perforations in the leather. All this just after having the car for 3 months and 5000 miles. Other seats show same symptoms, but not as bad yet. Cmon Honda, just read www.honda- pilot.org posts under "sagging leather on front seats" thread to see how many people have the same problem!

Nice but not perfect - 2003 Honda Pilot
By gart - July 29 - 2:00 amNice vehicle. Comfortable, handles well, fair performance, terrible gas mileage so far(12-13), ok Stereo. Most things are what I expected. Engine is smooth, but not great performance. Stereo looks good on paper, only fair in real life. 2nd row seats should be adjustable. Just hit 1000 miles. As long as it stays reliable, and gas mileage improves, I will be happy.

Good SUV but improvements needed. - 2003 Honda Pilot
By the rod! - April 24 - 10:00 amReliable SUV as expected from Honda. Good design. Acceptable interior. Fell short on the 3rd row seat design (not for humans!). Lack of standard "features" such as keyless remote entry. Im willing to sacrifice the aluminum wheels (look) for convenience features.

Performance and Comfort - 2003 Honda Pilot
By korydan - January 29 - 10:00 amIve been driving over six months and all my family are very happy about performance, size, ride, handling. However, night time driving is not a fun at all due to very weak headlight. This headlight should be improved right away.
