Our Second Odyssey (EX-RES) - Great Van/Great Value - 2014 Honda Odyssey
By grover432 - February 6 - 1:01 pmOur first was a 2011 model which had no issues other than a fussy 5 Spd automatic that vibrated when upshifting. Our 2014 6 speed doesnt have the transmission vibration but it "tugs" a bit on downshift when cold. Van drives and handles well. The controls you touch most have been improved. Interior noise is about the same as the Sienna. While it may cost a bit more than some of its competitors, it retains its value on resale. We leased our 2011 with a buyout of $19,300 (CAD) after 36 months. We bought it out and sold it for $26,500, taking the $7,200 in equity plus $1,500 in cash from Honda and bought a new 2014. We were only out of pocket $9,000 for a brand new van!

Over-Priced!! - 2014 Honda Odyssey
By george - April 8 - 7:37 pmThe review by Edmunds is completely not what l found in the 2014 Odyssey. One good thing I enjoyed about this model is that the fuel economy is very good. However this mini van was very loud in the cabin especially when you the odometer reaches 55 plus miles. Also it is very light. I still love my 2007 Nissan quest which has better acceleration and handling than the Honda odyssey.

Odd changes for the interior. - 2014 Honda Odyssey
By Chicago suburbs - December 15 - 2:39 amI owned a 06 Odyssey for 11 years and 202,000 miles, loved it. Never had a problem with it outside of regular maintenance. I recently purchased a 2014 with 13,300 miles from a returned lease. Its a b eautiful van ( on the inside, it is a minivan). But some odd changes have been made. What was the removable " magic seat" in the 06 now has been replaced with a leave in seat that folds down to provide cup holders and inside armrests to the second row. Without it staying in, there are no armrests for the second row. Another odd omission is the removal of the small hooks in the cargo area to hang groceries, we used that all the time in the 06 to keep bread and other fragile items safe from the rest of the purchases....small but odd differences from the 06. But definitely not a deal killer. Overall the ride is great, except for the original Continental Tires. For the midwest these tires dont offer enough quality traction in wet/ colder weather.
