  • Odyssey for us - 2008 Honda Odyssey

This is our third Odyssey. We bought the first one to accomodate our grand kids and liked it as an all around vehicle for passengers/cargo. Very comfortable especially on road trips. Averaging around 19 MPG and 23 MPG on the highway.

Very pleased with this vehicle. It performs excellent on the highway and in the city with nimble handling for a large van and excellent acceleration when needed. The seats in every row are very comfortable and the front heated ones are nice for the cold Canadian days in the winter/spring/fall.

Purchased it at a reasonable price ($2400 below invoice found in Yahoo and Edmunds, primarily because of the $2300 incentive Honda provided to dealers). Traded in my 2001 Civic. I have no doubt that this is a fabulous vehicle. Drives like Camry, even my wife who scared of driving any vehicle bigger than her Camry can handle it easily. Most amazing is the gas mileage. Before 1000 miles, it is 19.75 miles/gallon (50% highway + 50% local); After 1000 miles, it is improved to 21.75 and then 22.3.

  • Best Minivan in its Class - 2008 Honda Odyssey

I test drove all the minivans and Honda Odyssey was the best in its class. It drives like an Accord and handles pretty good. My wife loves this car and she can’t wait to go out of town. The dealer gave me $7000 off the MSRP which was a bargain. They’re giving out good deals and its affordable than a big SUV. You want a reliable car for a big family, Honda Odyssey is the van to buy,

  • 08 better than 05 with some exceptions - 2008 Honda Odyssey

Just turned my 05 ody in for the 08 EX-L RES. Overall, some nice improvements (back up monitor, tighter fit/finish on dash, minor exterior tweaks). The big let-down is that the 2nd row jump seat no longer stows in the floor compartment. BAD BAD move Honda: that was incredibly useful; now, you have to either leave it in (hard to access the third row), or leave it at home or in the back compartment. Whose bright idea was that at Honda?? Still a great van.

  • My 2008 Odyssey Touring - 2008 Honda Odyssey

This is our 4th Honda and our 2nd Odyssey and every generation gets better. The van is fun to drive. I love the car-like handling and responsiveness. It has plenty of power for pickup. There is ample of room for 6 adults. Middle 2nd and 3rd row seats are sized for kids only. I have had my new 2008 Odyssey for 2 months now and it has developed one problem. The right sliding doors opened window safety feature which keeps the door from sliding all the way became engaged even when the window is closed which is keeping the door from opening all the way. Ill be taking it to the dealer for repair. The mileage is close to 13 in the city and 20 on the hwy; less than what the window sticker states.

  • All I wanted n a minvan - 2008 Honda Odyssey

Have had this car for 8 years and have had no problems. Would buy again without hesitation. Only down side was mileage, but dont know what similar vans do. Can haul 4 adults plus 2 smaller people on backseat with no problem. Runs great with same acceleration. Easy to get in and out which becomes more and more difficult as you get older and joints dont not move like they did when younger. Van is a 2008 Honda Odyssey bought new.

  • Odyssey is a great car - 2008 Honda Odyssey

We have two you school age children and carpool with two more. Our 2002 E320 wagon has been a great vehicle, but we need two 7 passenger cars. After driving the CX9, Acadia, and Enclave we looked at an Odyssey. While minivans may not be "cool" there was simply no comparison in the way the Odyssey functioned compared to the others. Our new Odyssey drives smoothly, rides without wallowing, gets good MPG, has a tight turning circle and more traveling comfort than anything on the market.

  • Engine or Transmission - 2008 Honda Odyssey

I had this vehicle for two weeks, the bargain price $7,000 below MSRP. I agree with others reviews on the features. However, Up-shift and down-shift in the city (30-40 mph) is rough, test drive your vehicle on rush hour you can feel car slows down quickly without step on the brake, or slowly accelerate on gas pedal.

  • Odyssey #3 - 2008 Honda Odyssey

We just took delivery of our 3rd Odyssey and couldnt be happier. The ride is carlike, the power wonderful. We had gotten 27 mpg highway is our last Odyssey and so far this one looks to be no different. Was looking at the Pilot and as nice as it was the Odyssey was just a better value.
