This van has been so carefree that after 11,000 miles, I have had no glitches at all. The switch from 6 to 3 cylinders is not at all evident. Overall - one great machine.

  • A little disappointed - could be better - 2005 Honda Odyssey

We have had several problems with this van. Both passenger doors creak when stopping and starting. They have tried to fix but and cant. Our serpentine belt came loose and took a week to find. TPMS light comes on a regular basis on trips. Had to relearn the system. Gas mileage stinks. Roughly 13 in town and 22 hwy. For this being the top of the line for Honda, my 2003 Town&Country Limited was more luxuious and came with better features. Run flats are nice but cant find anyone to replace just the tire in KY. Can only replace the whole tire and rim assembly. Cost is $600 per tire to replace.

Great handling, huge interior (compared), powerful and quiet engine, somewhat frugal, great engineering details, somewhat shabby assembly... Really a great minivan, leaps and bounds above the US manufacturers and I think better the whyne engined Toyota.

Good family transportation. I recently took my family of 5 on a 3,500 trip and can only log a few complaints. I am 64 and could use a bit more leg room. The steering wheel block my view of the speedometer at highway speeds. The van does not offer integrated 3rd row sun shades like the Toyota van; the optional curtains looked so out of place, I decided not to have them installed.

  • Gas mileage not as good as claimed - 2005 Honda Odyssey

Has been a good travel vehicle in. However, is a little on the noisy side. Maybe when it is time to change tires. That will help!

  • Very Happy with Odyssey - 2005 Honda Odyssey

My wife and I traded in our 2003 Audi A6 for an Odyssey after we were going to have our 2nd child. We have been exceptionally happy with the Odyssey. It is easy to get the kids in and out, storage is ample, the ride is very solid and visibility is outstanding. Weve had two recalls- noisy brake pads, and the seal on the front windshield.

Having my 05 Odyssey EXL DVD & NAV for 8 month without a major complaint. Longest trip so far is Lake Tahoe, we all loved it, especially both of my kids enjoys much on DVD, and myself loved that path finder NAVI, never get lost. Need better insulation on the sunroof, I feel heat wave coming from my head on during these hot days even with the AC on.

  • check it out thoroughly before buying - 2005 Honda Odyssey

We got our Odyssey less than two weeks ago, so were still learning about it. My wife loves it - she wanted a mini-van - whereas another Camry would have been my first pick. Theres a wind noise on the passenger side - we didnt test drive this car - it was located for us. With the radio on, its not noticeable, but otherwise, it is (maybe that can be fixed?) I did the test driving and never used the passenger seat - now I see that my left knee is on the dash - the seat doesnt go back far. Lastly, the radio controls are pretty far from the driver - need an extended reach to use them. We got 23 mpg (mostly highway driving) on our first tank of gas. My wife loves driving this van -

  • Chrysler T & C Limited reigns supreme - 2005 Honda Odyssey

I shouldve bought another T & C Limited. It would have been 3K less and would have include DVD and NAV. The Touring has a lot of nice features, but they missed important things when you buy this level of vehicle (i.e. Memory seats SHOULD include radio settings and mirrors that change with the driver!) T&C LTD does. Our van has been in the shop for a total of 2 weeks with 2 different problems. The brakes were replaced at 5k miles and they still sound awful. It has a noise when I accelerate that the dealer cant find. The stereo was not well thought out...the seek is a stretch for the driver, not on the steering wheel. People who LOVE this van never owned a T&C LTD! Still needs work!

  • Great van with some problems. - 2005 Honda Odyssey
    By -

Thiss a fun and powerful van with overall nice built quality. Few complaints are: 1) Road noise. Its bad enough that I dont enjoy my CDs during my travel any more so I shut it off. 2) The Hondas "gate logic" transmission which shift down as soon as you lift off the gas. I am sure there is a purpose but its annoying as if shifts down mostly when you dont want it to. 3) Its a 5 speed but you cant shift to 4th gear, like going down a hill where 3rd gear is too low. 4) The famous brake grinding problem that Honda, after a year, still cant figure out how to fix yet. 5) Lots of little noise everywhere in the cabin which I was able to fix myself with felts. Regardless, Ill buy it again.
