Silver Pearl Metallic Touring with Nav - 2005 Honda Odyssey
By madabout1269 - February 15 - 2:30 pmI finally got my Odyssey, and first off let me say that Honda got it right this time,I have owned a 2002 ExL,a 2003 Havasu Blue EXL RES and most of the shortcomings have been fixed.road noise has been greatly improved, power, well it accelerates furiously, only drawback is the engine is more vocal, quiets down nicely after that though. Now for the creature comforts, all I can say is you will not want to step outside of this van,the navigation system is the best there is right now,I used it on my road trip and it is simply inspiring, the stereo system says Premium Sound System and actually lives up to the moniker. All in all folks this is the van to own.

Worst Honda ever - 2005 Honda Odyssey
By David Huffman - January 31 - 8:30 pmCurrently my Odyssey is in for its 12th service visit since owning it. Ridiculous for a Honda. They should be ashamed of this one. AC has died twice. Power steering gone out once - been in for high pitched "scream" sound four times. Windshield seals replaced three times. Now window mouldings dont want to stay in place. I have had 5 Hondas. This may be my last. Having to regretfully consult attorney and look at lemon law.

Odyssey Touring - PAX Tires - 2005 Honda Odyssey
By rstefano - January 31 - 7:05 pmI do not recommend this vehicle. The PAX tires are horrible. Two needed replacement at 15,000 miles, which required exchanges wheels/tires. Nobody buy Honda has these. The dealer said there would be a refund. I contacted Honda Corporate Customer Service after 3 months. They said no refund and that $570 per wheel/tire is the price. I experienced unbelievably bad customer service from them and the dealership. Throw in bad factory brakes, intermittent squeaking engine noises, PAX tires that last 20,000 at $570 each and youve got a bad deal. After 10 new Hondas/Acuras, this is probably our last. Took a bath and traded for the 2007 Sienna Limited but we love our Toyota. Bye Bye Honda

2005 Odyssey - 2005 Honda Odyssey
By James - January 28 - 12:30 amJust got the new 2005 lx (base model)in December 04 and love it. Off the lot with all those extra fees and conveyance charges etc for just under 27K. So far so good. This is our first minivan and I am surprised at how well it handles and feels on the road. Super quite, super roomy, all the seats fold up easy etc. Did ALOT of research and test drove the Sienna and the Grand Caravan and we went with this one and love it.

Odyssey -A minivan out of this world - 2005 Honda Odyssey
By harry burstein - January 2 - 6:33 pmThis is my second Odyssey-terrific comfort, handling and reliability. Room for our family of four with plenty of accessible cargo space. I wish I could think of a negative about this vehicle but after trying to think of something bad all I come up with is more good things to say...

So much for Honda reliability - 2005 Honda Odyssey
By M. Knott Happy - December 30 - 9:46 amPurchased 05 Odyssey in March. Drive it about 1 to 2 times/week, plus take on trips. Have had numerous problems for the less than 2500 miles. 1) Passenger door hard to close, 2) Power sliding door stopped working, 3) CD player sometimes silent on some tracks, but comes back when switch tracks, 4) engine noise/steering wheel vibration at 1500-1600rpm and 50mph, 5) battery has gone dead after sitting for 3days to a week 4 TIMES. So far they only fixed #2, said #1 was "normal" although many customers complain, and look at me like Im from another planet while they tell me "no problem found" on 3,4 & 5. Extremely dissatisfied with both vehicle, 2 dealers service areas, and Honda.

Honda Odyssey-Touring Model - 2005 Honda Odyssey
By Odyssey Touring - December 28 - 10:03 amTwo days after buying our first Odyssey we set out to drive from AZ to WA with a carload of hand-me-down furniture and a dog as well as our luggage. We had no problem with vehicle stability or power going over the Continental Divide. The ride was very comfortable.

Former Astro owner - 2005 Honda Odyssey
By GurneeBuyer - December 26 - 6:23 pmI have driven 300,000 miles in my 2 Astro vans, without major problems. But I always felt that I wa driving a truck. The Odyssey gives a car-like firm, well controlled drive, has good sight lines, and is comfortable. But I am amazed at the wind noise; at highway speeds you need the radio on to drown it out.
