Overview & Reviews
There are no significant changes for the 2006 Honda Insight.
- Amazing fuel economy, quick steering, lots of standard equipment, exotic aluminum construction, low production numbers make for exclusivity.
- Batteries drain fast under continual electric motor assist, highly susceptible to strong crosswinds, small payload capacity.

Yes its worth it! - 2006 Honda Insight
By Lance Johnson - March 22 - 10:53 pmI have owned this little car for several months now. It has plenty of pep and zips right along. It is fun to drive and it gets incredible gas mileage. 47 in town and 60 frwy. I fill the tank about once every 3 weeks after driving it all over, and when I pull out of the gas station after filling up for 25 bucks and the guy next to me is still filling his suv after 60, somehow I feel as if I have out smarted some folks. I also feel good that I am driving a vehicle that is considered 0 emisions! I am concerned about the planet! Its not all about the money reviewers, its about being conscience, not wastefull! The only complaint that I have about this car is the lack of side door pockets.

Great vehicle - 2006 Honda Insight
By L Howe - November 2 - 10:11 pmTotally satisfied with what we intended this vehicle to be. We get the EPA 55-56 on the highway staying at or under 70 mph without the A/C on. With a/c and a heavier foot it drops to 48-49 MPG. No problems so far and have had no reported battery drain. Is great in traffic and a joy to park. The hard tires give great mileage but add noise - Ill take the trade off. This is a second car for us but gets most of the use because of the fuel issues and the around town convenience. We also use it for occasional longer excursion drives and plan to leave our other car home for road trips. Highly recommend this great vehicle.
