  • Great car, AVERAGE gas mileage - 2007 Honda Fit

Nice car that has lots of room for a small car. Rear seats fold both up AND down - neat feature. Excellent ride for a small car. Reasonably quiet, too. Pick up from zero to 30 mph is good, 30 to 60 mph is fair. I bought a base model. The sport model is a much better buy - $1,300 for cruise control, alloy wheels, alarm, remote door locks, fog lights, premium stereo, bigger tires. I dont like the "skirt" trim on the Sport model though.

  • 18,000 mile report - 2007 Honda Fit

After 18,000 miles on my Fit purchased in May 2006, Im happy to say the car drives as well, looks as good, and feels as good as it did when brand new. No problems at all - no squeaks, rattles, troubles of any sort. Its very solid on the highway, even at 80 mph and heavy traffic. Gas mileage overall, 70% suburban commute and 30% Interstate, is right at 31 mpg. Thats about 28-29 in town and 37 highway - I have a rather heavy foot. Lots of room inside - my coworkers always want to go to lunch in my car because it seats 4 large adults quite comfortably. The fit and finish is terrific, dashboard is well laid out, and the stereo is really nice. Im very happy with the car.

  • A great car! - 2007 Honda Fit

Ive had my Fit Sport for a year and 13,000 miles later I still love it. This is the first time Ive actually enjoyed driving a car. Its dependable, easy to park anywhere, comfortable for adults and children and I can put so much stuff in it. I also appreciate the fact that this car has many great safety features and an interior thats easy to clean which is important when carrying children. The Fit has redeemed my view of the powerless 4 cylinder car. It feels wonderful to drive a gas efficient car that overall looks and feel great inside and out. However, I suggest some minor tweaks related to noise and the interior.

I just got the car and it is a fun car to drive

  • Disappointed with gas mileage - 2007 Honda Fit
    By -

Im delighted with the interior styling and versatility of the Honda Fit but Ive been disappointed with the gas mileage and the dealerships lack of concern. My first tank wowed me with 34 mpg which dropped to 24/25 mpg with each tank afterwards. Ive experimented with slower driving, gentle take offs, and upgrading my gasoline choice only to get the same results. While I love the car, I bought it for the gas mileage which as you can see, I am not getting.

  • ...for the ride to work - 2007 Honda Fit
    By -

so far I have been very happy with my choice. (it was a hard one) There are a lot of this type of car out there but with Hondas rep I thought how could I go wrong. The only prob so far is when the car is fully loaded it only got 32 mpg instead of 35. I really did not need anymore car than this just to drive my 30 miles to work and back. and an occasional trip with friends.

  • Uncomfortable - 2007 Honda Fit

I owned this car for 1 week and had to trade it in. This has to be the most uncomfortable seating position in history! I was either too far from the wheel or too close to it w/no leg room. Drive it for more than the 15 minute test drive, youll be glad you did! The seat is poorly designed as well. Im amazed that Honda sells these things so well in Europe (but I hear it has an adjustable seat height there). When fully loaded with friends, the ride suffers and can be harsh over bumps. Buy a Civic instead!

  • POOR performance - 2007 Honda Fit

I replaced a 1986 Civic Si with this weak sister in April. Big mistake. My Si got about 15% better fuel economy and would run rings around my Fit. Top speed in 4th gear (5200 RPM): 101; top speed in 5th gear: 83. No kidding. 83 MPH. Disgusting. Oh, mediocre acceleration as well.

  • So far, so good... - 2007 Honda Fit

My wife and I wanted small wagon, and investigated most of the obvious choices. By the time we test-drove the Fit we had a pretty good idea what we wanted, and were both impressed immediately. The clinchers were the standard side airbags, antilock brakes, and the price. Weve owned it for a week now. Its a blast to drive, the manual transmission is silky smooth, steering and brakes very responsive. The forward visibility is unbelievable as is the interior room. Main complaint is that the suspension is pretty taut. If youre looking for a budget-priced wagon, you should check this car out.

  • Waited 2 years for this car - 2007 Honda Fit

I finally found the car of my dreams, or so I thought. Not exactly. I still havent quite figured out how to use the paddles and when I do, the car seems to buckle and surge. One major problem, which I did not think of, the front of the Sport is very, very low. I live in the Northeast region. If we get a lot of snow in the winter, I will have to get out and shovel the car snow in order to move forward.
