Overview & Reviews
The 2009 Honda Element receives a Pilot-style grille and loses some of its plastic body cladding. There's also an available voice-activated navigation system with a back-up camera on EX and SC models, and the rear skylight has been discontinued.
- Smooth power delivery, spacious cabin, removable rear seats, available four-wheel drive.
- Seats only four, awkward rear ingress and egress due to small clamshell doors, unimpressive fuel economy.

09 SC - 2009 Honda Element
By davel57 - June 24 - 2:24 pmIve been looking at these cars for some time now and I cant believe I waited so long! Very pleased so far. VERY fun to drive with plenty of power and great fuel economy. I work in an auto body repair facility and Ive seen these cars hit in all areas and they hold up incredibly well (I hope I never have to test it) and it was one of the selling factors for me. GREAT sound system, amenities.

Nothing but impressive - 2009 Honda Element
By Canadian Steve - June 6 - 8:12 amWow!! Had our heart set on the base Element but the dealership had an SC they were trying to unload and we picked it up for less then the basic Element. Mileage is rated at 8.1L/100km and we have been consistently UNDER that number. We are getting about 30 MPG highway. This vehicle is so versatile. I was worried about it measuring up because I traded in my Acura. The ride is very comfortable, the seats are VERY comfortable, its easy to clean and really fun to drive. Turning radius is tiny, really easy to park. If the sideview mirrors are adjusted properly there are no blind spots. Havent come across anything that Im hauling that doesnt fit in it. Two thumbs up!! Excellent vehicle Honda!!
