A great little SUV for all around duty - 2005 Honda Element
By Wm. Rohrey - November 3 - 8:52 amI think this is one of the best for overall use. It has enough power to do most all jobs its ask to perform & the gas mileage is good. The use for hauling things is great & its easy to load. The only thing I see wrong is the fact that you must open the front doors to be able to open the rear doors. I guess this is a safety thing? But overall the Element has been great fun to drive & handles very well.Hope Honda makes more improvements to this car.

Much Better Than Originally Thought - 2005 Honda Element
By inourorangeelement - September 23 - 2:53 amI have the 2004 model, but in comparing the 04 w/th 05, I see little difference. I agree with the Edmunds PROs & CONs. I would really like to see an extended version of the Element made, but that would likely compromise its unique design. When I first started looking at the Element, I immediately thought "new-age ice cream truck". But as I got used to it and enjoyed its features, I honestly dont know what I would do without it now. Ive gone camping in it and didnt need to pitch a tent. Ive gone on long road trips and with family and have enjoyed the "stadium seating" from the backseat. I just wish it held 1 or 2 more people. It would be ideal for a small family in that respect.

Im a master gardener and a tree-a-holic ( I fit five) A blast for family road trips. A great road car

Gen Y Extremo - 2005 Honda Element
By Biker Box - August 21 - 4:46 amThis car proves that Honda knows what to do. Nothing the US produces can even match this car. I am a mountain biker so I am often dirty or wet. This thing gets me where I want to be and back. I have shown so many people the inside that it is becoming boring, but they love it. Most everyone had mocked me before. It is affectionately known as "the box."

2 Honda Elements - 2005 Honda Element
By William Grenoble - July 8 - 5:06 amMy wife bought a Honda Element AWD EX in July 2004. We pull a 4 Kayak trailer with it, and have a roof rack to haul one additional kayak up top if needed. We have two Golden Retrievers, and a Border Collie . The Element is ideal for boating and hauling dogs. With the plastic floor, clean up is easy. With both doors open on one side, it is simple to stand up on the floor and tie down the boat on top. I was driving an Chevy van, and was due to trade. I liked my wifes Element so much, I went out and bought one for myself. My other hobby is radio control sailplanes, and with the rear seats out, it is simple for me to haul planes and my wife , for a week of flying. 2 Elements are great !

Fits our lifestyle - 2005 Honda Element
By Brian - June 4 - 1:40 pmWe take our new Element everywhere. We load our snowboards under the seats to go up to Big Bear. We put our surfboard inside to head to the beach. We just got back from the High Sierras and head to the desert as well. We are very active and the Element keeps up. Easy to wash down the interior of sand, slush and mud. Great sound system for the road. Downside is a louder than normal ride and lower than wanted fuel economy. I would have allowed for two more feet of storage in back. Oh yeah, the seats fold into a great bed with a sdylight in the back. We go to the drive in and lay in the bed. Love the Element and cant imagine a more perfect vehicle for our lifestyle.

Love this car! - 2005 Honda Element
By marilyn barker - March 29 - 3:50 amIm very happy with my new Element. Its very comfortable to drive, I love the way it looks both inside and out. I get so many compliments from people that see me driving the car. I added roof racks and running boards which adds to its cute appearance. At first I was tripping over the running board as I got in the car but after a few days I adjusted and now it never happens. I love the worry free interior....no panic over spills that could ruin the usual carpeted floors or plush fabrics. Im tall and the seats are very comfortable for me. The waterproof upholstry is comfortable to sit on even in a bathing suit. I just couldnt be happier with my new car.

Best vehicle I ever had! - 2005 Honda Element
By PatB - February 17 - 4:33 amI have owned a Blazer, Explorer, Honda CRV and I have to say the Honda Element is the most outstanding SUV. No carpeting makes it easy to keep clean and is great for hauling. The back seats are completely removable or fold them up against the side windows. This SUV is small enough to be fuel efficient yet the interior space is physically roomy and great for cargo. Best of all it hugs the road and I feel safe inside. CD player & speakers are superb! Great buy for the money-I will do it again!!
