This Year's Model Updates:

For 2014, the Honda Civic sees a number of significant changes. Coupes get restyled front and rear ends, while all Civics see slightly upgraded interiors. All but the natural gas and hybrid versions get slightly more powerful engines, and the previous five-speed automatic transmission has been replaced by a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The LX coupes and the Si trims gain firmer suspension tuning, and the hybrid has slightly better fuel economy this year. Finally, a few new upscale features debut, including keyless ignition, a larger touchscreen display, enhanced smartphone integration and a blind spot camera.

Pros:
  • Spacious interior
  • Available coupe body style.
  • Comfortable and composed ride
  • Wide variety of powertrains
  • Good fuel economy

  • Awesome Civic - 2014 Honda Civic

I purchased a 2014 Civic LX sedan with the CVT transmission in July 2014. Have owned it for about 1 month and currently have about 1000 miles on it. Love it so far! Averaging about 35 miles per gallon and getting about 400 miles to the tankful! Power is adequate for most driving conditions and the car is fun to drive. Seats are very comfortable and this car has a ton of features for the money (I paid $16,700 not including tax and license). If youre looking for a safe, reliable, economical car, this is it.

  • Was misinformed concerning gas mileage - 2014 Honda Civic

April, I bought a 2014 EXL honda civic. I had a list what the car must have. Gas mileage was top on the list. I live 30 miles from town, all 75 miles hi-way. I use cruse, Econ button, and and stay in the green dash light. I have yet to see 40 mpg or even close to that mileage. The car has 3000+ miles and the Dealer said the car would get better mileage with the summer gas and once the car passed 1500 miles The car is averaging 27/33.

  • Love This Car! - 2014 Honda Civic

After seeing many family members and friends over the years owning and loving their Hondas, I decided to give in and try one on myself. I am simply amazed. A compact car that is as roomy, comfortable, and quiet as a much larger, more expensive car. Steering feels great, turns quick, soaks up the bumps, sudden braking no problem, gives the driver a feeling of confidence. Acceleration could be a little better but its acceptable from a 4 cylinder with automatic. Ive gotten 37 mpg combined city-highway. Incredible value for the money.

  • SIfy Fun - 2014 Honda Civic

The lines on the car, to my eye, are well thought out and handsome. Although I have not put allot of miles on it yet, it is immediately apparent it is screwed together well. Just feels like a solid car. In the end if you are looking for a daily driver that is economical to purchase and own, one that is safe, that has got enough, "sport" to put a smile on your face, So far, for me, the SI nails it."

  • Rattle rattle rattle - 2014 Honda Civic

Maybe its because They just redesigned the coupe for 2014, Im not sure, but before hitting 1k miles I have two incredibly annoying rattles - one coming from the steering column and one coming from the back shelf above the rear seat. Took to dealership and of course they cant find it (doesnt help that all the roads in the area are freshly paved). Gas mileage is....okay. Where I live in N Florida its incredibly hot and very hilly so not surprising that with the ECO Im still only getting 25mpg city. Otherwise the car is great. Honda really revamped the Civic to compete well with other small cars.

  • Great little Car - 2014 Honda Civic

I just picked up one of these. Would have never considerd a civic but the dealer near me was having great deals on them. Boy am i glad I went to look. The 2014 Civic is smooth, large on the inside and very fuel efficent. Everything is put together very well and the car is very solid. I never lack for power and hope to have this car for many years to come.

  • Reliable, Inexpensive, Practical, Fun - 2014 Honda Civic

The 2014 Civic Coupe LX seemed like just the right choice for me. It was listed at a local dealer sale for only 15,900 and I needed new transportation. I had 155,000 mile on the 2002 Honda Accord I was driving, after all. I travel 35 miles to work, making a 70 mile round trip to work and back home each day. So I needed a car with excellent gas mileage and good reliability. I think I found that in this Civic. The fit and finish is second to none in the class. The care feels more like a $20k plus vehicle. The seats are comfortable and the sound system is great. I am enjoying the hands-free Bluetooth feature for the safe answering of phone calls while driving. There are plenty of comp

  • Very nice and fun to Drive - 2014 Honda Civic
    By -

I recently bought a Civic ex and I love it. I went through back and forth deciding among Corolla, Prius, Yaris, Fit and Elantra for a month before ending up with the Civic. I like Civic from the get go but felt it was over priced compared to Corolla and others and took me a while to finally decide to buy it. Accord or Camry would have been a better value car when the price of Civic EX is a bit over $20K already but I needed a smaller car and gas saver for commute. I got it at sale for below invoice price so I am thrilled.

  • Have driven for almost two years now. - 2014 Honda Civic

Ive put about 21,000 miles on her and Im averaging 30-32 mpg with a lot of city driving. Nice car, I love how fuel efficient and reliable it is. Also the coupe is a very sporty stylish little car. The rims especially stand out. The EX and up come with some really nice features like a sunroof, automatic climate control, a backup and right-side camera, touchscreen info/entertainment, a separate driver info screen, etc. The driving dynamics are good once you get up to speed. The steering is nice and responsive and the braking is excellent. Unfortunately, the acceleration is underwhelming, especially on busy freeways. For the coupe the headroom is pretty bad. Im 58" and the front is fine but my head touches the ceiling in the back. Anyone taller than 62" would not have enough headroom in the front.

  • Most Fun for the Money - 2014 Honda Civic
    By -

I wasnt sure it was worth my time to test drive this car, but im glad I did. I was looking for a sporty second car and chose this over the following vehicles, a low mileage Porsche Cayman, several low mileage Corvettes, Subaru BRZ and WRX, Scion FSR, Ford Mustang GT, and a Mazda Miata. The Si may not have the horsepower as the more expensive cars, but it has enough to be fun and keep you out of trouble and I still get comments on the stock exhaust note. The solid build quality, lack of rattles and other noises, and great Honda reliability make this car a winner. I have owned it for about 18 months and still enjoy it more than any other car I have owned, which have been many. I consistently get 26 mpg in town driving it moderately hard and 32 mpg on the highway at 75mph.
