Great car for the $$ - 2008 Honda CR-V
By Linda - February 23 - 2:03 amI bought my CR-V EX about a month ago. I choose the EX because I wanted the sunroof, which was standard on the EX model. The car is fun to drive and Ive been very pleased with my purchase. This SUV is very classy looking as well, just as sophisticated as the pricier SUVs. The interior is so roomy, you actually feel like you are in a much bigger vehicle. Nice sized cargo area & the rear seats easily fold up for extra storage.

Practical and Dependable - 2008 Honda CR-V
By Switched - February 18 - 11:37 pmI owned this vehicle for a short period of time. I was impressed for what it is, but finally came to terms with what it isnt. It IS a thoughtful design that is very practical and reliable. It was NOT a bachelor car. And Im a bachelor. Almost every other CR-V driver I saw was a middle-aged or elderly lady. I got odd comments and reactions when picking up a date - none of the ego stroking I have gotten from even moderately priced sport sedans. Found myself constantly sinking money into accessories to make it into something it wasnt. After 7 months I traded it for a Bimmer. With mild redesign, CR-V could appeal to a broader demographic, but apparently Honda is not concerned about it.

YES! - 2008 Honda CR-V
By BunnyBombs - February 18 - 12:37 pmI spent months reading reviews and comparing ratings on all the SUVs on the market. I was willing to spend as much as I had to in order to get a good quality vehicle. Honda ended up to be the winner. Ive had my CR-V for about 5 months. Rain, snow, sleet, hail, etc., drives great. Its the right amount of space and it fits my busy lifestyle perfectly.

Very Happy with this car - 2008 Honda CR-V
By amit - January 7 - 9:42 amThis is my first SUV (well, mini-SUV). I was contemplating buying between either the RAV4 or Honda CRV. Glad I bought the latter. The interior of this car is much nicer than RAV4. The spare tire is mounted internally under the trunk and not behind the trunk door (which looks ugly). Love the dash computer which tells you the mpg in real-time. I have driven the car about 400 miles. So far, I am averaging 27-28 mpg in the city. The only thing I do not like so far is there is a shudder/vibration upon applying the brakes. It was particularly bad the first day... it has gotten much better now. Maybe, it was just new brakes. The CD/AM-FM player is easy to reach and very good audio quality.

2008 As Is Honda CRV 174,000 - 2008 Honda CR-V
By Deborah Jones - January 6 - 6:30 pmThe mileage is too high for year of car. Overall and general maintenance not done for a long time. Needs 4 new tires (now bald), an entire engine break job (but only 3 calipers??), recharging and re-assessment of AC (compressor okay), oil change, transmission fluid level change, etc - otherwise it is a Honda.

Good vehicle with some issues - 2008 Honda CR-V
By Phil - December 12 - 11:37 pmDrives well but sometimes your head bounces on the headrest. Interior layout is well thought out. Check gas cap light came on once but I could not find anything wrong. Glob of sealant on rear door rubbed the finish off the hinge. Averaging 24.5 mpg.

Great Buy - 2008 Honda CR-V
By Jon - November 19 - 9:23 amMy wife chose this over my preference for a CX-7 and no regrets. Well-built, roomy, drives well and nicely designed and finished interior. Wasnt sure about the looks, but they grow on you. V6 option would be nice.

Sadly Disappointed - 2008 Honda CR-V
By Sadgal - August 25 - 12:46 pmI purchased the CRV LX for the sole purpose of traveling. Unfortunately the seats are the most uncomfortable I have ever encountered. In just a four hour trip, I thought I was going to die. I am sadly disappointed in the seats Honda has put in this car. I would not buy another.

Love our CRV - 2008 Honda CR-V
By Tom Grayczyk - August 17 - 6:29 pmZero repairs. Good view of the road. Brakes last forever. 21 mpg city 33 mpg Hwy. Could do with less road noise. Large cargo area with seats folded down.

Beware The Roadnoise - 2008 Honda CR-V
By Benton - June 24 - 7:43 pmWhile this is a pretty neat auto the road noise will take away many points. We traded a 2004 Ford Explorer on this car mainly because of the horrible road noise we got with the Ford. We have a neat new auto with almost the same tee same level of noise. We did not notice on the 2 test drives as both days were extremely windy. The dealer now tells me that there is no insulation on this vehicle as it is considered in the Civic family. We were told that the top end Accord and Oddessy would have insulation and be much quieter. Great! The fuel economy is not that great for a 4 cylinder either.
