We love our CR-V 2003 5sp EX - nimble, and peppy with the 5-speed. I am impressed with our honda- space and all the comps we did to others small suvs - safty, room and heck 0-60 the CRV stood with or above other larger and smaller for us - we do like to get iup to the western NC mountains and ski once in a while and the 4wd is fine for that - not truck based , no 4 low so I dont try to mud bogg race with it. But it has been a fun SUV for us so far and no troubles or trips to the service dept other than oil change - Very satisfied compared to other new fords, and chevys we have had and service issues that came up.

50k miles in 3 years. Excellent SUV for the money and every for every positive comment posted on this site. Mileage is very dependent on how you drive, I average 21 for city driving. Ive owned 5 Honda cars and the CRV is by far the most intelligently designed, easy to drive vehicle Ive ever owned. When do you ever hear from people on how easy and fun a car is to drive? Its so true. At 50k miles, Im having to replace 1st set of tires and brakes, nothing else so far.

I love my new CRV. Love the manual transmission! It has pretty good power. When you look at it from the outside it looks small, but get in it and it has lots & lots of room. I like the style on the outside compared to the old boxy style they used to make. Feels very sturdy to drive, handles great, and runs very smooth. It is a great price for the EX 5 speed and you get more for your money with all the options.

After getting rid of 13 yr old Accord, I did extensive research on small SUVs and decided that CRV was the best for the money. Even though only after a week of owning the car, the trunk had a minor problem, I still think that CRV was a good choice. It drives smooth, comfortable. I agree with many reviewers that CRV is rough on bumpy roads, but I expected that when I bought a SUV. I was buying a SUV, not a car.

Great SUV. Big enough to haul stuff around in the back, but small enough to get decent gas mileage for a car that size. It is turning into the best car Ive ever driven or owned, and I have owned seven.

I was looking for a small SUV and researched a lot. I am happy with my decision. The CR-V handles almost like a car (I drive a lot of winding mountain roads and I like to drive...) has lots of cargo space and enough horses to go around. That with good fuel efficiency makes for a great everyday car. I didnt not expect to get this much car for my money...

When my husband first wanted to look at the CRV I didnt want to. I decided just to look for fun and ended up getting one. It is perfect for my family, its very comfortable and drives very smooth no matter what teh weather conditions are. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone.

  • THE PERFECT SUV!! - 2004 Honda CR-V

I did a ton of research on SUVs before I bought this one--it was between this and the Toyota Highlander. However, it gets better crash scores and mileage than the Highlander!!

Great car, had 221,000, then I think the private local mechanic changed the starter and ruined my transmission, Never replaced anything but the catalytic converter Had 1 tune-up at 110,000 miles.
