This is the best mid-level SUV you can buy for the money... Honda rocks...

  • Best SUV for the city - 2017 Honda CR V

I wanted an SUV that was short and had a backup camera so that I could easily park it. The CR-V fit the bill. I couldnt find my preferred color in 2WD, so I got the AWD version. Gas mileage doesnt meet up with the EPA expectation, but is great for any SUV. Im most impressed with how effortless it is to drive - easy steering, excellent brakes. Another standout is the Apple CarPlay. Its integration is the simplest, most straight-forward that Ive seen. The safety features are great, as are little things like the cap-less gas filler, heated front seats, rear cover that moves up to make a flat surface with the rear seats folded down, etc.

  • Vastly Improved.... - 2017 Honda CR V

Other shoppers should know before buying this CR-V that its a huge improvement over the outgoing model, in looks, quality and ride handling. The CR-V does many things well. The seats are some of the most comfortable Honda offers, the looks present a more formidable appearance and the ride feels secure at highway speeds and handling is pretty decent. Underneath the hood is a 190 HP 1.5 Turbo engine with a CVT transmission. Acceleration is very good for a vehicle in this category and as good as that CVT unit is, nothing will take the place of a geared transmission. Inside, several things Id like to see added for the price point of the touring are a Heated Steering wheel, ventilated seats and a panoramic sunroof. A CD player has been left out of this generation!! Really? All in all, the CRV does what its supposed to do, looking and feeling good the whole time. One place, for me at least where I would like to see some improvement and it may come in time is an increase in fuel economy. Im not seeing the #s advertised. Usually 27.8 has been close to my avg with highway driving pushing 30mpg.

  • Feelin Right at Home! - 2017 Honda CR V

From the test drive to almost two thousand miles of driving this vehicle, I feel more comfortable and in control than I have in previous cars I have owned for a few years. I can manuever into extremely small, tight places with ease. I can park amazingly well using the rear view camera, The ride is so wonderfully smooth and quiet. I feel so safe with my nine and seven year old in the rear seat, and my two Standard Poodles teathered in the hatch. When I walk out of the grocery store, I cant help but giggle a little inside realizing that the strikingly beautiful, shiny car parked in the lot is actually mine!!

  • The right choice! - 2017 Honda CR V

We love the safety features on the 2017 CR-V. The car is very comfortable. Our first time driving it was on a 6 hour ride and it was a pleasure. The heated seats are great for our cold, mountain climate. So far we are averaging 29 MPG. We are very happy with our choice.

  • Great vehicle at a decent price - 2017 Honda CR V

The car is a solid offering. Its not a speed demon. Acceleration wont snap any heads. Once it gets moving its going fast but this isnt a drag racer by any stretch. This is a very solid, well thought out, well manufactured car! I really do enjoy it. Wouldnt mind larger sun roof options but really a cosmetic quibble.

  • Everything I Wanted and More! - 2017 Honda CR V

I have always owned small , economy cars, mostly Toyota Corollas. In 2008 I purchased a Civic, which I was still driving until purchasing this new CR-V . I love technology and gadgets and I was interested in a car with more up to date features. I also needed something with a little more room, so I test drove and researched a variety of SUVs. I chose the CR-V based on the excellent reviews , resale values, reliability, safety and price. All I can say is that this vehicle is amazing. The first day I picked it up we had a severe storm. I drove on the highway for hours in a downpour and was alerted when someone tried to pass too closely. The beeping startled me but it also saved me from an accident. The side mirrors light up and alarms go off. I was also very happy with the way it held the road and felt sound. Last week as I was backing out of my driveway someone came around our nearby corner too quickly. Again the alarm went off as I was within a few inches it seemed of being hit. A few times after late nights at work I have forgotten a turn signal or drifted a bit. The steering wheel vibrates and more alarms. It is so smart and works hard to keep you safe. The camera view is excellent but I still have to do it the old fashioned way. I have driven it for a month now and have been getting 28-30 MPG in mixed traffic. It runs smoothly, quietly and is a pleasure to drive, even in the economy mode. I admit that I am not driving for performance and am happy to see the green light. I love everything about my new CR-V. I was going to keep the Civic as I love that too but this vehicle makes me want to sell the Civic. I am trying to figure out some day trips just so I can drive my new vehicle more! The only thing I can say is frustrating is that the lift gate adjustment keeps resetting back to full height. The seat also remembers my setting but when I get out I move the seat back because I am short and drive up close to the wheel. It moves the seat back up before I get in..so if I leave it back when I get out, I cant get back in because it pushes the seat up close to the wheel, before I am seated. Of course these are small things and could be my user error. Great Vehicle...you will not go wrong with a CR-V.

  • Worthwhile upgrade from driving an Accord - 2017 Honda CR V

Good handling and fuel economy for an SUV

  • Nicest CRV - 2017 Honda CR V
    By -

We are highly satisfied with the decision to pick the CRV from our list of three finalists. It drives really well, the safety features/technology work well, the ride is miles ahead of what we had with the 2013 Accord (rode like a truck), lots of room, turbo really takes care of hilly terrain. The interior is attractive and the car is well finished overall. The 2017 CRV presents a very convincing argument; it is hard to find a better engineered product at this price point and a vehicle that does what it is supposed to do, period. One negative item... Check the undercarriage; my Canadian made CRV had numerous rust spots on the suspension parts, such as bolts, struts and bushing brackets (anything made out of carbon steel), It showed evidence that it was driven over salted down road from the factory to the shipping dock, pretty serious rust despite of only having 18 miles driven when i picked it up. This is something that is not very evident when shopping around and easy to ignore due to the "new car fever" and other distractions. The dealer after some "friendly arguing" agreed to remove the rust spots and applied some preservative; the mechanic did a really nice job, helped us and Honda avoid unnecessary repairs/costs in the future. Another negative item...A month after with roughly 600 miles driven, the battery is dead after the car was parked at the airport for 7 days; a new battery was purchased (was not refunded). Two months after that the battery is again dead, this time in my own garage. This has been the only problem. A very positive item...Took the car to the dealer and they quickly fixed the problem by re-loading a new version of the software . The car has been parked as long as 10 days a few times, no more dead battery. Fuel economy is averaging 30 MPG (combined driving), worst in town only was 24 MPG, best highway only was 39 MPG. Regrets.... i wish i had purchased the Touring model with all the "toys". Great product, i recommend it to any one.
