Hood and tailgate came misaligned from the factory. Large gap on one side and almost touching the surrounding body panel on the other side for the hood. Tailgate flush to surrounding body panel on one side and inset with larger gap difference on the other side. Dealership acknowledged issue but diverted me to Honda to resolve. Usually this is something you only need to look for in a Used vehicle to check if it has visited a body shop before. Not something that crosses your mind to look for with a new vehicle. Overall driving is good but does have more road noise than an MDX or larger vehicle. Gas mileage is good. Interior is nicely laid out. CarPlay works great for navigation and playing music from Amazon Prime or Pandora. Bluetooth phone works great using an iPhone 6s or newer. Heater painted on lines on back tailgate window peel off if the dealer tapes your temporary license on the lines.

  • Superior to every other small SUV - 2017 Honda CR V

Let me start by saying that I own 2 Honda generators a 928 snowblower, lawn mower, weed-wacker and rode a Honda Magna for 6 years, so I am familiar with their bulletproof reliability and owner satisfaction. After test-driving the Ford Escape, Volkswagin Tiguan, Toyota RAV-4 and the CR-V, I narrowed it down to this and the RAV-4. Even though the Toyota dealership offered me 0% financing and $100 below invoice, I felt the CR-V was the superior vehicle in many ways. The Honda is definitely more comfortable and roomier in both the front and back seats. Plus the interior design feels more elegant and refined whereas the Toyota appears cheesy and generic. The Tiguan was nice, but definitely more expensive and has confusing controls and displays. Escape was pushing 30k for a mid-level trim. I am glad I made this purchase and can now understand why the CR-V is the #1 vehicle in this class.

There isn’t much this car lacks. The control panel could have a more user friendly design. The interface has a steep learning curve and it could have been simplified.

  • My 0.02 cents - 2017 Honda CR V

Owned it for about a month so far and Im both disappointed and impressed about different features/quirks of this car. On the positive side quality of materials and technology is very impressive for a Honda giving this thing good value. But on the driving dynamics front its a complete garbage. Acceleration is very lethargic, cvt is trash because it doesnt know what to do most of the time and theres a jerk around 25mph when you step on the gas pedal lightly. Fuel economy is around 23mpg in NYC mixed driving. Breaks are terrible and steering leaves a lot to be desired due to vagueness and sloppy response. Looking on rear exhaust it already looks like it will rust away in a season or two because welds already turning orange. My local chop shop does same quality exhausts as Honda did here. My advice if you are coming from any kind of decent driving car to this you will be terribly disappointed. It does many things well but none great. As point A to B appliance itll do and nothing more.

  • In Honda We Trust - 2017 Honda CR V

Why did we buy the 2017 Honda CRV Touring?   Below is a little history of our car ownership: We owned a 2005 Toyota RAV4, which we privately sold recently. We were happy with the RAV4, but after 12 years of ownership, our family made a decision to buy a new car. First, we visited the Toyota dealership. The 2017 Toyota RAV4 was much larger than our 2005 model, plus we werent impressed with the way it looks (especially the interior). It is still a great car but the reasons I have mentioned above moved us toward Honda . Our son advised us to get a Honda Fit, but after we owned a SUV, it is difficult to switch back to a compact car. We decided to buy the 2017 Honda CR-V Touring model and have owned it for a little more than as two months. We love this car. It is a very smooth driving vehicle with a lot of safety features (Honda Sense), great design – interior and exterior. All wheel drive adds stability and if you can afford this feature, it is a must have. Fuel economy is excellent. We love the large digital display because it is easy to see the speed you are driving and see the road at the same time. Great information system with navigation provided by Garmin. If you own an Android phone, you can use Google maps for navigation. Originally, we planned to get 2017 Honda CR-V EX-L, but we changed our mind when we saw the LED headlamps in action. Before buying, I have read a lot of reviews about the Touring trim level and was really surprised that there were some negative reviews about the sound system. You simply need to adjust the treble and bass levels. If you listen to low quality recording dont expect a great sound. I have downloaded my music collection to a USB drive. All the music I play has exceptional quality but even so, some sounded better than others. For example, Jaime Valle’s “Round Midnight” album sounds outstanding. If your budget permits, go for the Touring trim level. From now on, Im a Honda fan.

  • Fantastic Vehicle - 2017 Honda CR V

Excellent Vehicle for the $. Great comfort, storage capacity and visibility. Electronics and Climate control take some getting used to especially the climate control which is supposed to be dual but is difficult to operate. Fuel door is difficult to find/reach, buried on the left side lower panel near the floor this is something a driver uses constantly and should be placed in a more accessible area. Overall this is an outstanding vehicle with just a few quirks.
