  • 2017 CR-V is a lemon - 2017 Honda CR V

Three transmissions in less than 6000 miles. Now the Bluetooth suddenly stopped working. Car has a high pitched whine upon acceleration only when the air conditioning is on. This was not the case until after the third transmission was installed but Honda Service says nothing is wrong. I cant trust this vehicle to travel more than a few miles from home.

  • First SUV is WOW! - 2017 Honda CR V

After reading all the specs on the Honda CRV, I knew I wanted the EX with the advanced safety features. I drove it off the lot yesterday and am thrilled to have it. I’ve had two Honda Accords before this and drove both of them to 150,000 miles with no major problems. I will always drive a Honda. This, however, is my first SUV. It runs so quiet and smooth you almost don’t know the engines on. Love it!

    Excellent value and quality

  • Roominess and storage with mpg and value - 2017 Honda CR V

Wanted roominess for travel without sacrificing too much in mpg. Also wanted high quality and value for price paid. The Honda CR-V with trim level EX-L met all our criteria better than any other vehicle.

Overall the car is pretty nice, but here are a few downsides: 1) Stereo is pretty bad and our Touring model supposedly has the upgraded sound system; 2) Safety tech is okay but overrated, radar based cruise control is what I find most useful but it has its quirks; 3) Road noise could be better, I will probably add some additional sound deadening to the doors and floor once the warranty expires.

  • Owning a second SUV - 2017 Honda CR V

I love this new 2017 CRV. The driving is very comfortable and the gas mileage is much better comparing to my 2016 Subaru Forester. The great thing about this CRV is that it has the option of Econ mode. This mode gives me roughly 30 MPG in mixed driving. Mind you that Econ mode still gives you the performance when needed. But you need to punch it in. When you are in regular mode, the acceleration is pretty good, feels sporty and great handling. Depending on the mood of the day, I can switch to different mode.

  • Fun to drive again - 2017 Honda CR V

Wife getting prepared for a knee replacement and wanted a vehicle that was easy to get in and out of. We decided on a 5 passenger SUV. We test drove Cadillac, GMC, Buick, Toyota, and Ford. The Honda stood out in Tech and comfort. We live in the mountains and the small turbo handles the climbs with no problem. Averaging 31.4 mpg. with an engine that has a lifetime warranty. The navigation is spot on and even shows your next turn on the dash (handy). Brake hold is a welcome feature that makes stop and go easy. Cruise control keeps a distance between you and the driver in front and breaks for you. I went from 70 to 0 as the car in front of me came to a stop. Amazing. Headlights and wipers are automatic. I guess I have to mention the only con I can think of (no CD player). What a fun car to drive and you owe it to yourself to test drive one.

I picked up my White diamond Touring AWD last week and Im loving it!! It drives really well and is very comfortable. It does have a lot of safety features, which can feel overwhelming at first. The only features Im missing from my previous car is the panoramic moonroof, ventilated seats and when the mirrors would tilt down in reverse.

  • Costco Deal! - 2017 Honda CR V

The car is great! We got it in Obsidian blue with gray cloth upholstery. Very comfortable ride and my achy back loves the heated seats. Electronic safety features are terrific. Lots of space inside. Downsides? Rear visibility and inadequate roof rack system. When we decided on the CR-V I decided to check out the car deals offered through Costco. Went to their website, entered what I was looking for and was given a dealer and person to meet. You must go to the dealership, show your Costco card and ID and then they show you a print out of their pricing. It was easily $400 less than the best deal I could get anywhere else. (When I gave the quoted price to another dealer they said the Costco dealer was "whoring up the market"! This was on a brand new model in short supply. At 7500 miles no major complaints. Took several long car trips and got 33 mpg! This is almost 50% better than our previous 2004 Mazda Tribute. The only knock I have is on entertainment electronics. The USB ports are very difficult to access in the center console and the Bluetooth is finicky about connecting to some devices.
